The Hero Xtreme 160R is an entry-level sporty bike from the Jaipur-based two-wheeler manufacturer. It is Hero’s first streetfighter aimed at the popular 160cc segment in India.
Hero Xtreme 160R Price : Hero offers the Xtreme 160R in 4 colours (Matte Black, Pearl Silver White, Vibrant Blue & Sports Red), along with Stealth editions in black and red colour combo. The version having drum brake at the rear costs Rs 1,18,616, with the rear disc variant costing Rs 1,21,966. The Stealth Edition of this bike is priced at Rs 1,23,806 and the Stealth 2.0 edition comes priced at Rs 1,29,738. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
Hero Xtreme 160R Design : The Hero Xtreme 160R flaunts muscular styling, staying true to the streetfighter genre. The handlebar, powertrain, and alloy wheels come finished in black. The tank extensions merge neatly into the side panels, while the external pillion grab rails are integrated into the bodywork (with the Stealth 2.0 edition sporting red ones). The bike comes featuring a single-piece seat, with an upright riding posture.
Features of Hero Xtreme 160R : The Hero Xtreme 160R boasts an LED headlight, tail lamp, with even the blinkers being LED units, making it the only motorcycle in its segment to feature an all-LED lighting. The bike comes with a fully digital instrument console which shows the speed, revs, odometer reading, fuel level, gear position and a clock. The bike also gets a hazard lamp and in Stealth Edition 2.0 form, knuckle guards for added safety.
Hero Xtreme 160R Engine : The Hero Xtreme 160R is powered by a 2-valve, air-cooled engine making 15.22PS and 14Nm. The engine comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox and the bike has a 12-litre fuel tank. It is built on a tubular diamond chassis, which is suspended on a telescopic fork and a 7-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front disc and 220mm disc/130mm drum at the rear. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels, which are wrapped in 100-section (front) and 130-section (rear, radial) tubeless tyres. The bike weighs 139.5kg (kerb) and has 167mm of ground clearance, along with a 790mm seat height.
Hero Xtreme 160R Rivals : The Hero Xtreme 160R competes with the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Bajaj Pulsar N160, Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and Yamaha FZ FI V3.
Hero Xtreme 160R Variants : Hero Xtreme 160R is available in 4 colours (Matte Black, Pearl Silver White, Vibrant Blue & Sports Red). There are also Stealth and Stealth 2.0 editions of this bike on offer, with more stylish paint schemes. The 2.0 iteration also comes with red highlights on the fork, bodywork, pillion footpeg mounts and grab rail, along with a plastic belly pan and knuckle guards. The mechanicals, however, remain the same across all models.
