Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Dominar 250
- Bajaj Dominar 400 has never been marketed as a corner carver. It’s more of a straight line tourer. The 250 can be considered a little better in that regard, as the slimmer tyres -- 100/80x17 at the front and 130/70x17 at the rear -- make it a little lighter on its feet. Although these tyres won’t give you the same confidence once leaned over into turns as the 400’s radials, the 250 does turn in easier, which makes it lighter to steer into corners. This lightness is apparent at city speeds and even when you move the bike around in the parking lot. Moreover, you may have broader tyres installed in the Dominar 250, however, you may lose on the performance and fuel efficiency while getting better handling.
- No, it would not be a feasible option to install a 180 spec rear tyre on the Dominar 250. The bike comes equipped with a 130/70 rear tyre and you may upgrade it to 140/70 and not more than that.
- There are ample options available such as Bajaj Pulsar 150, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer SF, Yamaha MT-15, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Honda Hornet 2.0, etc. Choosing one will depend on several factors such as your budget, brand preference, preference of the segment, usage of the bike, specific feature requirements, etc. Click on the given link and apply filters in order to check out [new bikes@https://www.zigwheels.com/new_bike_search.php?byshowroomprice=0-200000
- No, it misses out on the gear-shift indicator feature.
- By taking the criteria maintenance, fuel efficacy and reliability, Dominar 250 would be a better pick. Its retuned 250cc powerplant is easier to live with and makes perfect sense in the city where it would spend most of its time, but don’t mistake that for lack of performance. The Dominar 250 is perfectly happy doing triple-digit speeds all day long on the highway with a well-balanced suspension setup that enhances the overall ride experience. On the other hand, Royal Enfield Classic 350 wiyuld be more relaxed and comfortable for rider and pillion especially for pillion with size facing sitting position. You may compare details.
- Bajaj Dominar 250 features a 800mm seat that makes for an easy reach and combined with nearly upright seating position with only a slight forward slant, the bike offers a comfortable seating position. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. - The Dominar 250's retuned 250cc powerplant is easier to live with and makes perfect sense in the city where it would spend most of its time, but don’t mistake that for lack of performance. The Dominar 250 is perfectly happy doing triple-digit speeds all day long on the highway with a well-balanced suspension setup that enhances the overall ride experience. It’s a lot easier on the pocket too, at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s found its purpose in being a comfortable, competent and importantly, a flexible motorcycle -- something the Dominar was always meant to be and that’s high praise. If you are looking for a bike with such traits, then you may surely opt for the Dominar 250. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. - Ive found it to be in between 4000-4500.
- Being a beginner doesnt matter much if you ask me. But I will say the XPulse200 will be easier to handle and throw around. But, the ride and ergonomics of both these vehicles are entirely different and I suggest you test ride them both and make your decision.
- Bajaj Dominar 250 is a great value for money offering with its butch looks, beefy underpinnings, comfortable ride quality and good price to power ratio. But money aside, as a motorcycle, the Dominar 250 does one thing right -- it is fit to purpose. Dominar 250’s motor felt boring on the KTM, but combined with the comfortable tourer the Dominar is, it works beautifully. It truly feels like it deserves the ‘sports tourer’ tag. The other really impressive aspect of this D250 is its ride quality. Both front and rear suspension are running a softer tune compared to the 400. The seating stance is nearly upright with only a slight forward slant, the 800mm seat height makes for an easy reach, the wide handlebars are set fairly high and even the footpegs aren’t too rear set, making for a comfortable riding position. The seat padding too is of the right firmness for long hours in the saddle. Even the pillion seat is quite comfortable. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. - As of now, the bike is available in 2 colors; Red and Black. If you want to paint it Green then we would suggest you to have a word with the service center or with the mechanics who do the paint job. Also, if you are planning to change the bike color then you have to inform the RTO and had to make changes in RC too. You can click on the following link to see the details of the nearest service center and selecting your city accordingly - Service Center.
- Bajaj doesnt offer the option to do so. You could get in touch with other garages to do the same.

- Does mileage change?

- The recommended engine oil grade for Bajaj Dominar 250 is 10W50 JASO MA2 API SN.
- Bajaj Dominar 250 is powered by a 248.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that has been borrowed from the KTM 250 Duke. This motor already felt rather smooth on the Duke, but since the Dominar 250 is running a lower compression ratio of 11.9:1 (vs 12.5:1), it feels even more unstressed. It manages 100kmph in 6th gear with the engine ticking a little over 6000rpm and at this speed, it’s absolutely butter smooth. Even speeds of 120 feel really smooth, although it takes a little time to get there. Vibes only creep in past 8000rpm, and that too in the form of a mild buzz in the footpegs. For a better understanding of performance and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read More: - Bajaj Dominar 250 Road Test
- Both Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Bajaj Dominar 250 are good bike. However, the baby Dominar is the one that offers better braking performance between the two. In our tests, the Dominar 400 was a ferocious braker. It’s got the smaller 300mm front disc with a radial caliper and a 230mm rear disc. But surprisingly, even with all its weight, it managed incredibly short braking distances -- just 31.53 metres from 80kmph to a standstill and 18.50 metres from 60kmph. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Changing the rear tyre does affect the mileage and overall performance of the bike. However, it does not show incorrect readings in the cluster. For more details regarding the same, we would suggest you to get in touch with the nearest authorized service center. You may click on the given link and select your desired city for service centers.Read More:- Two Wheeler Tyre Guide
- No. It doesn't have kick start
- No it is electric start only.

- Bajaj Dominar 250 is powered by a KTM-sourced 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that has a compression ratio of 11.9:1.
- In my opinion dominar 250 is best
- Bajaj Dominar 250 is the heaviest bike in its segment and by a huge margin -- 11kg heavier than the 250 Duke and a whopping 24kg heavier than the Gixxer 250. And that, combined with the motor’s peaky power delivery, makes it the slowest accelerating bike in its class, both in outright as well as in-gear acceleration. However, the 250 does turn in easier, which makes it lighter to steer into corners. This lightness is apparent at city speeds and even when you move the bike around in the parking lot. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- As of now, threre is no official update available from the brand side regarding the launch of a 250cc version of Pulsar NS. Moreover, if you are looking for a naked street bike with butch looks, beefy underpinnings and value for your money, then you may opt for the Dominar 250. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Bajaj Dominar 250 features a 13 Liter fuel tank and the low warning light starts blinking when there is around 10-15% fuel left in the tank.
- Bajaj Dominar 250 comes equipped with a 300mm front disc with a radial caliper and a 230mm rear disc. Surprisingly, even with all its weight, it managed incredibly short braking distances -- just 31.53 metres from 80kmph to a standstill and 18.50 metres from 60kmph. On top of that, brake lever feel on the Dominar is quite commendable too. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- No it's a little discomfort for a 5.5 inch height
- Yes
- It would be too early to give any verdict as there is no official announcement from the brand's side. Stay tuned.
- It would not be a wise idea to keep your vehicle in idle condition for a long time period. If possible, we would suggest you to start the bike once in a while and keep the engine running for a few minutes. Also, do not leave the bike without fuel and keep it covered. For more, please check out the following article: How to Store Your Motorcycle.
- Bajaj Dominar 250 features a seat height of 800mm which makes it fairly accessible for shorter riders. Moreover, the wide handlebars are set fairly high and even the footpegs aren’t too rear set, making for a comfortable riding position. The seat padding too is of the right firmness for long hours in the saddle. Even the pillion seat is quite comfortable. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- We would suggest you to please visit the nearest authorized service center as they would be able to assist you better after the inspection of the bike. Follow the link and select your desired city for service centers.
- The brand has not revealed the exact top speed of Dominar 250, however, it is expected to be around 135kmph. The bike manages 100kmph in 6th gear with the engine ticking a little over 6000rpm and at this speed, it’s absolutely butter smooth. Even speeds of 120 feel really smooth, although it takes a little time to get there. For more information, check out the Bajaj Dominar 250 Road Test.
- I have reached 164 easily in my dominar 250..
- For the availability, we would suggest you have a word with the CSD staff or walk into the nearest dealership as they will be the better person to assist you because it depends on their stock book. You can click on the following link to see the details of the nearest dealership and selecting your city accordingly - Bike Showrooms.
- As of now, the brand has not suggested any payload capacity for the Bajaj Dominar 250. The bike is powered by a KTM 250 Duke-sourced engine that makes 27PS power at 8500rpm and 23.5Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm. It is more than capable of carrying the weight of two average sized riders.
- Can it be done in bajaj service centre ??
- Don't upsize front tyre , it shows wrong speedo meter .
- Dominar 250 must to improve tyre size with 150mm
- Yes
- 150/60 - 17 is better becaucse tyre wall height are same as 130 section tyre . No problem with swing arm . I personally tried with NS 200 which have same tyre .
- If you have changed the tyre to 150 section without any problems. Please let me know. I'm planning to change my Dominar's tyre too.
- Yes , no problem . But that change I made with NS 200 which have same size rear tyre .
- But doesn't the weight and turning radius for dominar makes its handling difficult in city and for daily commute. Traffic manoeuvring is also difficult. So if someone does commute mostly and touring occasionally, the other two are more suitable
- Ofcourse svartpilen..
- First almost 25 ... And after 1st servicing almost 35 or 35+
- What is the avg speed for need 34 kmpl???
- 34km before 1st service
- Fuel injection
- It's not about the software update.there is no hardware components such as sensors for gear position indicator...and avg fuel ..In 2_3 years the dominar 250 will come with this features...same as.. dominar 400ug came...I think it's bajajs strategy 🙂
- Yes I would also like to know that .. like through an ecu update on the manin console just like the 2019 D400... Or will we get the avg fuel etc .. on the main console
- Which color is best for dominor 250 vine black or red

Not worth of 2 lakhs of bike lots of vibration on 1st to 3rd gear on my footped.Apart from engine sound there was another sound coming. At service center they told it's bike sound but while riding it's feel like am riding old bike with lots vibration and some utter sound.Only hope remain was mileage but it's give around 25 to 30 in city and 30 to 35 on highway. This was big dissapointment from 250 cc bike worth of 2 lakh.I feel like cheated.Better go with ktm or meteor 350.

It's nearly 2 months I used this bike. It's very aggressive and gives better performance. I can feel vibration on first 3 gears after that, bike shows his real attitude smoothness. Slipper clutch and breaks all are perfect. But gear shifting will be noisy even it can feel by people who is walking on road. Mileage I just got 28 kms/liter, 250cc so it's not disappoint that much. Main drawback is weight, you have full road to turn this bike and you always keep one person with you for take reverse. All apart I love my brotherhood

I loved this bike, very aggressive with sporty performance, heavy and rock solid so that it will be planted in all the speeds, barley no vibration after 3rd gear, very comfortable seating position and extraordinary clutch. Since its slipper clutch, gear shifting will be noisy. Average mileage 30kmpl which i checked neck to neck method in city, yet to check in highway. Suspension are good. Cons are missing gear shift indicator, rear tires are smaller. planning to change the tire to 150/60.
