Bajaj Chetak Bike Latest Updates
Here’s how much the Bajaj Chetak Urbane and Bajaj Chetak Premium could cost if the FAME 2 subsidy scheme ends by March 31, 2024. Bajaj has launched the updated 2024 iteration of the Chetak electronic scooter with a bunch of new features. Check out all that’s new here. This electric scooter is a big step forward for Bajaj, known for its bikes, as it's their first modern electric scooter. It's a modern version of the classic Chetak, which was a game-changer in the scooter world in India.
Bajaj Chetak Price The basic model, called Urbane, costs Rs 1,15,001, while the fancier version, called Premium, is Rs 1,35,463. If you add on the TECPAC packages, they go up to Rs 1,23,001 and Rs 1,44,463 respectively. All prices ex-showroom.
Bajaj Chetak Design The Chetak stands out because it's made entirely of metal, unlike many other electric scooters. It's got a classic look inspired by the Vespa. It's also got some cool features like a retractable hook under the seat for your bag and sleek rear view mirrors. The quality of the buttons and switches is really good, and little details like the brushed metal around the LED headlight make it look classy.
Features of Bajaj Chetak The Premium version has a new 5-inch screen that's easy to read. It also comes with cool stuff like sequential indicators, locks for the handles and steering, a switch to open the seat, and a light inside the underseat storage. Both the Urbane and Premium versions now come with the TECPAC package, which gives you extra features like navigation, music control, and call/notification alerts.
Bajaj Chetak Engine The Chetak has a 4kW electric motor with two modes: Eco and Sport, and it even has a reverse mode. It's not super fast, with a top speed of 73kmph. But it's got a new battery that gives it a range of 127km on a single charge. If you get the Premium version, you also get a faster charger that can give you 15.6km of range in just 30 minutes. The Chetak gets trailing link front suspension, and 12-inch alloy wheels shod with MRF Zapper tyres. It gets a disc brake up front and a drum brake at the rear.
Bajaj Chetak Rivals
The Chetak is competing with other electric scooters like the Ola S1, Ather 450S and TVS iQube Electric.

Rediscovering Elegance
The Bajaj Chetak, reinvented as an e-scooter, merges retro vibes with a green outlook. Among the pros of this model are its attractive design, durable construction, comfort, convenient drive, low operation costs and service support from the Bajaj service center. The TecPac variant adds further functionality. While you have already read the pros of such transport, the following could be considered cons of such transport: limited standard range (90-100 km), lower top speed (70 km/h), higher price, lack of fast charging, limited storage, and missing features such as ABS and regenerative braking. The bike as a whole works well for commuting in a city and its range and speed as well as price may affect some in its appeal joining the buying selection.
