I want to buy a cruiser bike but I am confuse that I buy Jawa 42 or wait for Avenger 400?

Wait for Avenger as it's the sole Indian motorcycle that fits the name of a Cruiser bike. Jawa has naked and bobber variant not cruising ones.

Wait for Avenger 400, even though sitting position is different of Avenger

Is it that seat height of the avenger 400 could increase from current 725 cm to 785 cm this could be a trouble for the short heights

If the seat height goes above 760 mm then it wudn't be a cruiser anymore ...it wud be very odd lukin bike...neither sport nor cruiser 🤣

December's here, so anyone got any idea about it's release date yet - Avenger 400?

D400 competed against royal Enfield. SS400 has no competition even if launched it will be inferior than Yamaha R3 and RC390 which is a small segment with less demand whereas if Bajaj launches Avenger 400 and 500 it will be competing against RE, Cleveland Cyclewerks, Kawasaki Estrella etcas. This segment has higher demand it's not a good thing for Bajaj to launch a D400

I asked a dealer in Delhi and he said there is no official launch until march 19.

I dnt think there is any launch scheduled in this month

This is a crucial product for Bajaj.new Avenger 400 should be atleast 50cm bulkier, half-feet taller seating position, semi-cruiser leg positions, dual channel ABS, digital dashboard, animated LED lights, and a configurable dual exhaust system like jawa @1.5L will rule the market

This is rumor. There is no plan to launch a 400 cc variant of Avenger. I checked with some senior managment at Bajaj and they confirmed this is rumor. Please take down this misleading post.

I heard a rumor, Bajaj has 2 avengers planned 400cc with KTM Engine @ 1.5L and Avenger 500cc Triumph Engine @2.5L

Great series

Avenger is a great property of bajaj.So far all owners are happy about the performances as well stability.Hope this upcoming small hulk will be the king of indian road and offer us a great riding experience.

main is modal ka lambe samay se intajaar kar raha hoon. vartamaan mein, mere paas evenjar 200 (2010 modal) hai aur main ise bina kisee samasya ke savaaree kar raha hoon, aaraam aur lambee avadhi ke lie savaaree karane ke kaaran ab kisee bhee any braand par svich karane kee koee yojana nahin hai. mere lie vyaktigat roop se, yah himaalayan 400 ko ek achchhee pratispardha dega, bhaarat mein evenjar 400 ke saath tulana karane ke lie sahamat 1 ya doosaree baik nahin hai. mere lie nahin to badala lene vaala 400 (meree pahalee praathamikata) 1 ven himaalayan 400. Currently, I have an Avenger 200 (2010 model) and I am riding it without any problems, There are no plans to switch to any other brand now due to comfort and long-term riding. For me personally, this would give the Himalayan 400 a good competition, with the Avenger 400 in India agreeing to not have 1 or the other bike. If not for me, the Avenger 400 (my first priority) is the 1 st Himalayan 400.

Battery start

I am sure this bike would be a huge sellout. The maximum torque at lower RPM@3500 and maximum power @ 5000 rpm would ensure this bike will fill the void that is lacking in the affordable LT segment in India. Any LT bike in US costs nearly the same with less than 500cc engine, so it is indeed necessary to have these bikes that people can ride comfortably for 10 hours riding for month. Price could be anywhere less than 2.5 lakh on road and its a winning combination.One thing that I would like to mention is a provision of a kickstart for some models as assisted to the battery start, I would be the first to book it.
