Mazda 3 saw its global unveiling at the LA Auto Show and it seems to be ticking all the right boxes. To be pitted against Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3 is sure to ruffle some feathers in its segment. Staying true to its lineage, the car looks absolutely beautiful. Some might even call it the Japanese Alfa Romeo. While it is a stretched hatch-back, the proportions and design cues work in a harmony to create something wonderful. Under the hood, it gets a 2.5L inline-4 petrol engine which doesn't make use of spark plugs but instead relies on compression ignition technology.
The Lincoln Aviator may seem like a conventional SUV at first sight, but there's so much more to it than meets the eye. This is the American answer to the European luxury SUV makers. Attention to detail with which Lincoln approached Aviator is exemplary- the finesse is difficult to fault. Illuminated Lincoln logo on the front grille and rear LED strip running across the width of this SUV lend a very distinct look. The proportions are bulky and the blacked out pillars make it look imposing yet stylish. On the inside, you won't be greeted by ordinary bells and whistles, but instead, there are different chimes that have been recorded by Detroit symphony orchestra... that's sophisticated. You must take a look at it.
Chevrolet Blazer is, simply put, a very smart-looking car. It is essentially a crossover SUV that draws inspiration from Camaro and the similarities are striking. The front fascia with narrow, swept back headlamps with LED DRLs and wide grille are reminiscent of the sports car. Chevy Blazer has the haunches in just the right places and the whole design looks sharp and butch, but very modern. The inspiration continues on the inside too, with interiors that look straight out of Camaro. The latest iteration of Blazer is based on a new unibody platform and comes powered with two engine options- 2.5L inline-4 making 195 bhp or a 3.6L V6 churning out 305 horses.
They say that Italians make the most beautiful cars. One look at Alfa Romeo line-up is enough to convince anyone of that. But looks is not all that Alfa excels at, their cars also ride well and are quick. The legendary Italian car maker brought to LA Auto Show thier Giulia and Stelvio Quadrofoglio with two different design packages- Nero and Carbon. Nero edition makes use of black elements on front grille, headlamp bezels, exhaust tips and alloy wheels, while the carbon edition incorporates carbon fibre over front grille, side skirts and mirror caps.
If you thought BMW M2 was the best M series car, then be prepared to have that spot claimed by something else- BMW M2 Competition version. BMW likes to make things exciting for drivers and this M2 Competition is just that extra bit of excitement. Powered by a 3.0L twin turbo inline-6, it puts out 430 BHP with 550NM of torque. It still retains that slick 6 -speed manual gearbox to heighten the driving pleasure or you could get this car with 8-speed dual clutch transmission.
