- Both the bikes are good in their own forte. Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a great bike in fact that RE engineers and designers have maintained the charming DNA of its predecessor but without the niggles. It was very easy for the brand to overdo the iconic Classic 350, but they have managed to find the right balance and the updates have been done only where required. On the other hand, the design update has given the KTM 200 Duke a new lease of life. Also, the fact that the new BS6-compliant motor does not lose out on performance almost makes it feel like a win-win. That said, the substantial hike in price means it is now more expensive than larger motorcycles such as the Suzuki Gixxer 250. KTM Duke 200 (2013 - 2024) FAQs
Duke 200 (2013 - 2024) Key Highlights
Price: KTM Duke 200 is priced at Rs 2,03,412 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in three colour options: Electronic Orange, Dark Galvano and Metallic Silver.
Design: The KTM 200 Duke gets a sharp look, which is the same as the previous-gen KTM Duke 250. To differentiate between them, KTM has given both motorcycles different liveries. Just like the KTM 390 Duke, the KTM 200 Duke continues to use an underbelly exhaust.
Features: The KTM Duke 200 comes equipped with an LED headlight and LED DRLs from the previous-gen KTM Duke 250, along with LED turn signals and an LED tail lamp. The bike also has a 5-inch TFT console, the same as the one used on the 3rd Gen 390 Duke. It shows speed, engine RPM, fuel level, real-time mileage, average mileage and average speed, along with a clock. Along with this the console offers smartphone connectivity and related features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts with the ability to accept or reject via the mode button on the switchgear, helmet headset pairing and music control and dual display modes with a dark and an orange theme.
Engine: The KTM 200 Duke is powered by a BS6.2 compliant, 199.5cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which produces 25PS and 19.3Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The KTM Duke 200 is built on a tubular split-trellis frame, which is suspended on a 43mm front USD fork and 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm rear disc brake. It comes with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys, wrapped in 110-section (front) and 150mm (rear) tubeless MRF tyres. The KTM 200 Duke has a 13.4-litre fuel tank and weighs 159kg (kerb). The seat on this bike is 822mm tall, with the ground clearance being 155mm.
Rivals: The KTM 200 Duke goes up against the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The Honda Hornet 2.0, however, is just a rung lower and would not be considered as its direct rival. Although not as direct rivals, the Yamaha MT-15 and Suzuki Gixxer 250 serve as worthy competitors as well.
Variants: The KTM Duke 200 is available in just one variant. It comes in three colour options: Electronic Orange, Dark Galvano and Metallic Silver.
