Two big AMG launches on the same day. An unusual duo to be introduced in these times, but then again, what’s usual about what’s happening around us anymore? Producing over 1000 horsepower, these AMG twins are available across India immediately. Both come powered by AMG’s 4.0 litre biturbo V8 engine but in different configurations.
The C 63 gets 476PS/650Nm out of this engine, while the GT R milks it for a healthy 585PS/700Nm. Both cars drive the rear wheels only but while the C 63 does it through a 9 speed automatic transmission, the GT R gets a 7 speed autobox. 0-100kmph takes 4 seconds in the C 63 while the GT R pulls it off in 3.6 seconds.
These AMG twins will be sold in India as direct imports from Affalterbach, and make the Mercedes-AMG range one of the widest performance car families in India, including coupe’s, sedans and SUVs.
