UM Renegade Commando Classic & Mojave - First Ride Review

UM Motorcycles are among the youngest two-wheeler brands in India and they made their debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. The UM range consisted of two cruiser offerings - UM Renegade Commando and UM Renegade Sports S. For 2017, the American bikemaker has expanded its product portfolio further by riding in the new UM Renegade Commando Mojave and UM Renegade Commando Classic. As the name suggests both these motorcycles are based on the Renegade Commando but have very distinct styling. The Renegade Classic goes for chrome and the quintessential cruiser motorcycle styling with dual-tone paint job while the Renegade Commando adopts a stealthier and modern sand-like paint job. Another important update on the new motorcycles are the fact that they now get fuel injection instead of the older engine which was equipped with a carburettor. The fuel injection system has been added to make the engine comply with BS-IV emission norms. We got to ride both the new UM Motorcycles for a brief period on the outskirts of Jim Corbett National Park and here’s what we have to say about the two new cruiser offerings.
