- KTM 390 Adventure test drive happened in 19 Degrees North, near Aamby Valley - 2020 KTM 390 Adventure exhaust sound is a little bit lower than the Duke’s - KTM 390 Adventure top speed is in excess of 160kmph - KTM 390 Adventure 2020 price in India is Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) The KTM 390 Adventure launched in India recently and we finally rode it. This baby adventure bike from KTM is based on the much beloved 390 Duke, and features the same 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 43.5PS of power and 37Nm of torque, as well as the same 6-speed gearbox. The 390 Adventure’s trellis frame has been borrowed from the Duke as well, but gets revised steering geometry and a new subframe. It gets long travel WP Apex suspension, which unfortunately in the Indian configuration doesn’t feature any adjustability apart from preload at the rear. Ground clearance is a solid 200mm. The 390 Adventure is running alloy wheels, 19 inch at the front and 17 at the rear, shod with Metzeler Tourance on/off-road tyres. Seat height is a massive 855mm. Many other components of the 390 Adventure, such as the brakes, are shared with the Duke. But the Adventure gets a whole new electronics package that features a 3-axis IMU. So it features cornering ABS with an off-road mode, lean-sensitive traction control and even an up-and-down quickshifter as standard. The KTM 390 Adventure goes up against the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the BMW G 310 GS, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 and to a lesser degree, the Hero XPulse 200.
