- Kawasaki’s electric bike was first seen in patent drawings back in 2012. - It’s finally been christened the ‘Endeavor’ and could be on its way to production soon. - The Endeavor is based on the Ninja 300 sportsbike. There’s no denying the fact that electric vehicles will eventually take over the realm of personal mobility, but at least so far, there haven’t been too many major manufacturers taking an interest in electric bikes. The exception to that rule is Kawasaki with its little Ninja 300-based e-bike, the Endeavor. Never heard of it? No worries, this video will tell you everything you need to know. Unlike most electric two-wheelers which use hub-mounted motors, this bike has its motor mounted in its belly and it sends power to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox and a chain drive. The Endeavor is based on the Ninja 300 which tells us that it has sporting intentions. It’s held together by a tubular frame suspended on a telescopic fork and monoshock. We can expect to see a concept version sometime next year followed by the production bike soon thereafter.
