The Skoda Rapid hasn't changed much for 2020. It looks the same on the outside and has the same interiors as well. In fact its engine has actually shrunk in size from 1600cc to just 999cc. Not exactly an inspiring statement. But the key acronym in the spec sheet is ‘TSI,’ and that really makes a big difference to the equation. Enough of a difference to push the Rapid up in our list of sedans to consider for 2020? The new Rapid is powered by a new 1.0-Litre TSI Turbo petrol engine making 110PS and 175Nm. It’s paired with a slick shifting 6-Speed manual transmission and this engine gearbox combination is the only option on the Rapid at the moment. In terms of features, the BS6-compliant Rapid features new goodies like an upgraded 8-inch infotainment system and infrared cut windscreens and windows for blocking out harsh sunlight. It also comes with climate control, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, LED DRLs, auto up down function for all four power windows, and keyless entry. On the safety front, it comes with four airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera. Prices for the rapid range between Rs 7.49 - 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) For more details and video reviews of the latest cars/bikes, do subscribe to ZigWheels: https://bit.ly/2T1LJD2 #2020SkodaRapid #SkodaRapid #ZigWheels
