Honda has made us wait for six long years for the gorgeous all-new Civic. It has decided to rely on the same 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol as the eighth-gen model and a new 1.6-litre diesel. Furthermore, the petrol is only available with the CVT, while the diesel can only be had with a manual. It’s beautiful, not perfect, but most importantly, is it still desirable? Watch our first drive review for the answer. The 2019 Honda Civic will be available in three variants, with the ZX being the top-spec. Prices for the Honda Civic are expected to range from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of features, the Honda Civic comes packed with an all-digital 7-inch instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, an electric sunroof, full-LED headlamps, 17-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and leather upholstery. The safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability management and agile handling assist. Four disc brakes are offered as standard. The 2019 Honda CIvic will be offered in five body colour - Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic & Golden Brown Metallic. The CIvic is being offered with a 1.8-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel. The petrol engine makes 141PS of power and 174Nm of torque, while the diesel motor makes 120PS and 300Nm. Notably, the petrol engine will be offered only with a CVT, whereas the diesel will be offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
