  • The Mercedes Benz AMG GT 'RR'

Stop everything that you are doing, hold on to your hearts, and turn up the volume up of the speakers or headphones or whatever source of audio output you have. The Mercedes Benz AMG GT RR is here to give a treat to your senses. Probably the biggest, baddest AMG ever made. It's a howling beast, running and galloping across the Okayama International Circuit, Japan.
This video may not change your life, but will change some things.

The GT RR is based on the Mercedes Benz AMG GT (Obviously!), but apparently its nothing like it. It is inspired from the original Mercedes Benz 300SL W124 (Pictured below) and it is noticeable once you give a closer look to the grille.

The major difference is the engine. Yes, you read that right. It doesn't use the 4.0L unit found in the GT, but the original monster engine - Six Thousand Three Hundred CC from its predecessor, the SLS. This configuration engine complies with the FIA's GT3 rules and hence makes this car purpose-built for the Japan Super GT series. The dream championship.
Here's the crazy beast going maaaad -

The buzz around the internet says that the AMG GT RR is expected to show up at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, scheduled for Summer 2016. It will have active-aero components, along with a reduced kerb weight by almost a 100kgs. The engine should be making close to 650 HP as well.
    Nuff said.
