    Membership Levels

    The ZigWheels forum membership levels:

    First Gear (Basic Member):The moment you sign in to the ZigWheels forum using either your Facebook login or a direct sign up, you shift into FIRST GEAR. This is a basic membership level which will allow you to post in the forum, but your posts will not appear on the Forum unless seen by a moderator. This applies only to the first 5 posts, which will have to go through moderation. Once you cross 5 POSTS, you will automatically shift into SECOND GEAR.

    Second Gear (Confirmed Member): If you have got to second gear it means you have successfully posted 5 times on the forum and the moderators have approved your posts. In rare cases, if you have issues with language or the kind of content posted, you may remain stuck in FIRST GEAR despite crossing the required number of posts. This will also apply to people who have been banned temporarily - they will go back to FIRST GEAR once their temporary ban expires.

    Third Gear (Intermediate Member): Once you have posted 100 times in the forum, you will shift up a gear to THIRD GEAR. You are a forum regular and by now your reputation would have also increased considerably.

    Fourth Gear (Senior Member):Get up to 500 posts in the forum and you will shift into FOURTH GEAR. As a senior member of the ZigWheels forum, you will enjoy a few special privileges such as exclusive event invites.

    Fifth Gear (Super Senior Member): Cross a 1,000 posts in the forum and you get into FIFTH GEAR. You will have enjoy a few more privileges and exclusive test drive invitations too. You can also choose to display your own custom title.

    Sixth Gear (Associate Moderator):Getting past 2,000 posts will shift you into SIXTH GEAR. This is also a moderator level and select members would be invited to become moderators too.

    (P.S. We are developing a NINE-speed gearbox for this forum and we shall add the remaining three cogs soon! )

    if he breaches 2 policies, he will go 2 gears down;
    if he commits 3 mistakes, he will be moved in 1st gear;
    & finally, on 4th occasion, he must be removed from the forum.
    Hey, thanks tush.desai . That is a nice idea. Downshifting with every breach :-)

    A member is temporarily banned, right? During that time, he could be put in Reverse gear... then from Reverse Gear, one HAS to shift to the 1st again to get going!

    Haha. We only go forward. But that's an idea, why not have reverse gear for members who are "Banned" or have been "Infracted". So, if you see any member with "Reverse Gear" you know he's a banned member. What say folks?

    Your gearbox seems to be missing a Reverse gear!

    You know what? Gearboxes are soon going to be a thing of the past once the Tesla's of the world arrive en masse. Till then we just got to go from cog to cog.
