Ducati has launched the Pikes Peak version of the Multistrada at a price of INR 20.06 Lacs, ex-showroom Delhi. The tourer will now be available across its dealerships in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. So what has changed from the standard model? For a start, it employs a fully adjustable Öhlins fork at the front and TTX36 rear shock. Carbon fibre bits and a Termignoni carbon fibre silencer have also been added on the Pikes Peak edition. The feature list is brimming with technology such as cornering ABS, cornering lights, wheelie control, traction control and cruise control. Additionally, there is also Ducati Multimedia System, which when paired with a smartphone using bluetooth, lets users manage key multimedia functions using the switchgear and TFT display.
The bike is equipped with a 1198.4cc L-twin engine belting out 160bhp of power and 136Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken care by a slick 6-speed chain drive unit. One of the unique features of the bike is that the service interval is at a healthy 15,000 km and the knock sensor in the engine ensures you can use 91 octane fuel without any complications.
