Q. Aura or Magnite, whose build quality is better?
- We can't give any verdict about their structural strength as both cars haven't been tested by NCAP yet. If we talk about Nissan Magnite, it gets a pretty decent build quality. If we talk about its interior, the finish quality of the plastics is smooth and the grey fabric on the door pads is a thoughtful touch. However, the plastics don’t feel as robust or thick as they do in a Sonet, Venue, XUV300 or even EcoSport. Even the fitment quality is of a budget grade, with bits like the center console flexing/moving about when you fiddle with it. We’d say it’s a step up compared to the Vitara Brezza but it’s acceptable, not exceptional. On the orther hand, if we talk about Aura, its interior is premium and good fit and finishing. We have to appreciate the quality of the fabric used in the upholstery on the seat. They feel just right for Indian summers, and we’d pick them over leather/leatherette upholstery for sure. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- AURA Not yet performed crash test and same sibling version NIOS got only 2 star safety rating. The same 65% (AHSS & HSS) high strength steel used in NIOS as well but failed to prove build quality in crash test. Then you can decide which one is better in the Build quality.

Q. What's the difference between normal engine and turbo engine of Magnite?
- Its 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 72PSpower and 96Nm torque and mated to a 5-speed MT gearbox. It delivers a claimed mileage of 18.75 kmpl. On the other hand, new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit can be had with either a 5-speed MT or CVT. It churns out 100PS and 160Nm (152Nm with the CVT gearbox). It delivers 20.0 kmpl and 17.7 kmpl mileage with its manual and CVT variants respectively.
- The Magnite is offered with two petrol engines. ... The second and more powerful option is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 100PS/160Nm. Q. What is the difference in between B4D and 1.0 turbo engine of Nissan Magnite?
- The Magnite is offered with two petrol engines. The first is a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, also present in the Triber, that makes 72PS/96Nm. This engine can only be had with a 5-speed manual transmission. The second and more powerful option is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 100PS/160Nm. This engine too is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Certain variants also get the option of a CVT, however, the torque figure in that case drops down to 152Nm. While that is an 8Nm difference, you'll be hard pressed to notice it in the real world.

It's one of the most affordable compact SUVs on the market. The turbo engine provides good acceleration. But I gives lower mileage than advertised, especially in city driving. The ride can be a bit stiff, especially at higher speeds. While i like the color options.

After owning the Nissan Magnite for about six months, I feel pretty confident in sharing my thoughts. What drew me in was its bold design and competitive pricing which is quite attractive in the compact SUV segment. The turbocharged 1.0 liter engine producing 100PS of power promises a sporty drive. And indeed it delivers a punch packed performance which makes city drives fun and highway cruising comfortable. The fuel efficiency is decent too standing at around 20 km/l for the turbo variant which is quite economical considering the size of the vehicle.
