Q. I decided to buy a new petrol sub 4 meter SUV. My choices are KIA Sonet HTK or TATA Nexon XM or Maruti Vitara
brezza LXI. Having lot bits of confusion choosing the right vehicle, Since each model having its own Pros and
Cons. I don't have any particular requirements. But it should be overall good in engine performance, ride
quality, safety, mileage, material quality, etc. Please suggest your opinion so that it will be very much
helpful for me to buy a right car.
- Selecting one would depend on certain factors such as budget, brand preference, drivability, preference of the features, etc. Among the options, if you are looking for a feature rich car with smooth engine options and a premium quality interior, then we would suggest you to opt for the Kia Seltos. The base variant of Maruti Vitara Brezza does not offer much of the features and the cabin feels bare-bone. On the other hand, if you can stretch you budget a little further then the XM (S) variant of Tata Nexon could be a good option too. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read More: - [New Tata Nexon XM (S) Is The Most Affordable Car In India To Come With A Sunroof@https://www.zigwheels.com/news-features/news/tata-nexon-xm-s-variant-launched-at-rs-836-lakh-gets-a-sunroof/39628/
- I too was in the same dilemma - I was confused between top variants of Sonet and Nexon and mid variants of Creta which are all similarly priced (budget of 15-16 lakhs). Nexon has the best suspension and ride quality over bad roads, Sonet has the most features, Creta is bigger and more SUV like. So which one to choose? I spent a lot of time researching the pros and cons of each car and more than that I made a list of the most important features I wanted in my new car and finally arrived on Kia Sonet. 1) Great performance - I’m a car enthusiast and drive for fun instead of need. It’s mostly long drives and less city drive and I wanted a peppy fun to drive engine. I test drove Sonet and Nexon
- Guys, Just go for NEXON. It was awesome car with 3 drive modes. If you are looking for mileage s**t to ECO mode, if you want performance shift to SPORTS mode. Its serves both the purposes. Its our wish. Coming to Comfort, Safety, Build Quality NEXON is par better in its segment. Looks wise 2020 Facelift is having definitely a good look. I don't want to comment on looks as its personal touchbase for everyone. It differs from person to peronsFINALY I VOT FOR NEXON
Q. Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite or Kia Sonet, which is the value for money budget of 8 lakhs?
- All these cars are good enough. There’s very little to hold against Kia’s Sonet. It could do with more cabin width to seat five better, and also add at least one more variant for the automatic transmission. An aspect where not just the Sonet but Kia themselves as a manufacturer needs to prove their long term reliability and dependability. The Sonet is ticking all the right boxes otherwise. It’s delivering on the wow factor with pukka mini-SUV looks, quality interiors and a feature list that’d make you question paying a premium for larger SUVs. It’s being sensible and practical too, with loads of cubby holes and a large boot. You get proper automatics, and the engines on offer cover a wide range of usage. Kia’s Sonet is rewiring our expectations from sub-4-metre SUVs. It’s proving that a small vehicle can be big on experience. The Tata Nexon has made a lot of improvements in this facelift. It looks better, feels more premium on the inside and now has a feature list to walk shoulder to shoulder with much of the competition. Reasons to buy the Nexon however remain the same: its 5 star safety, ride comfort, the sound system, rear seat space and value for money mid variants. Where the Nexon fails to impress is its powertrain and the cabin practicality. The petrol engine, though powerful, feels less refined and isn't happy to be pushed. Also, Nexon is offering an AMT automatic at this price point, where the competition is offering torque converters or even DCTs. The cabin storage for everyday items is still lacking. And the new steering and instrument cluster are unable to better the driver's experience. Overall, though it is a better Nexon, it fails to hit it out of the park. Minor bugbears aside, the Nexon continues to be a sensible small SUV for the family. It does become the default choice if you want space for five and their luggage, and a comfortable ride. However, if it's polish and latest tech you're after, the Nexon might feel a little rough around the edges. If we talk about Nissan Magnite, at its introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh - Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Nissan Magnite is a very tempting proposition and takes a different position vs its many rivals. This pricing will be applicable only till 31 December but along with that, this package does have some compromises too. For example, the cabin experience isn’t rich and fitment quality is of a budget grade. Many buyers do believe that SUV = diesel power and that isn’t an option that you get here either. Also, while it does get a turbo petrol engine, it isn’t complemented with a driving dynamics package that’s particularly exciting. Of course, Nissan’s sales and service network is also going into revival mode and its rivals have a clear upper hand here. Simply put, if you want the most premium and sophisticated pick from the segment, the Magnite probably isn’t for you. But if you want an SUV that’s spacious, practical, well loaded and comfortable to drive, all delivered at a price tag that’s serious value for money, the Magnite is certainly worth considering. You may compare all these cars accordingly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Mr Sandeep, I agree with u.. Magnite is very spacious, comfortable & also full paisa vasool car (especially 1.0 Turbo engine XV CVT). But unfortunately, I dropped the plan buying mangnite since we don't have a Nissan showroom and service centre in my city. So ended up with Sonet HTX IMT variant.
- Considering practicality of interior space management, leg room and the super smooth city driving experience, magnite is undoubtedly the best choice. The sonet looks good from outside but disappoints seriously when one enters inside.
Q. Is Kia Sonet or Hyundai Venue which 1 is good for everyday use?
View More Questions
- Both Kia Sonet and Hyundai Verna shares the same powertrain and a number of features as well. However, Sonet takes an edge over the Venue with its integrated central display, driver-centric cabin, a segment-leading 10.25-inch touchscreen display, a semi-digital instrument cluster that features a 4.2-inch full LCD display, ventilated front seats, drive modes and traction modes, etc. Moreover, if you are looking for a car similar to the Sonet, but without a flashy design, Hyundai Venue fits the bill. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. - Venue doesn’t even look like an SUV. It looks more like a hatchback. From Indiase also Venue gives a feel of a Hatchback. I’ve driven both and honestly Venue can’t be compared to Sonet at all. Sonet is a different class all together. Be in looks or seating comfort or features. Venue should be compared to the likes of i20 or Baleno
