Q. Is it worth to buy Jeep compass petrol 1.4-liter instead of Seltos or MG Hector?
  • Jeep Compasss is not comparable to Kia Seltos or MG Hector; it is much ahead of both. It is true that there are some cosmetic things which might stand out; but at the end of each such thing, Jeep Compass is unique. According to me, the only negative aspect is the low mileage - 8.00 Kms to 9.00 Kms / litre within city and 10.00 Kms to 11.00 Kms on highways.
  • Don't go for Jeep Compass, that will cost more in the name of Brand and have poor build quality, which is not worth, you can opt Hector
  • I would suggest you to go for Seltos diesel. Jeep Compass has a lacklustre drive and is a Petrol guzzler.
Q. How is it Compared with MG Hector - Compass?
  • On paper all seems fine with MG Hector but we have yet to know the ride and handling prowess of Hector. Even Compass, though it is claimed that it is a great ride n handling machine yet it has yet to establish itself as such.
  • In terms of price, space and features, MG Hector scores over Compass. In terms of ruggedness, build and driveability, Compass scores over Hector.
Q. Which one is best Hector or Seltos and what is the global crash test star rating for both cars?
  • You know the Owner is not Chinese, but it is actually a subsidiary of Govt. of China. Just like Hindustan Motors was. Also Chinese cars are not very respected in China. Ford motors is making cars in China that are selling very well and preferred over Chinese cars. We can talk again when brand is atleast 5 years old in India. Kia and Hyundai have been successful at what they do for decades now. You know there are Kia/Hyundai cars sold in USA. but No Chinese brands dare to operate in USA.
  • Having owned one I can confidently say MG Hector is an excellent car and it's better in most aspects in its segment. The look and feel is like cars one segment above. One thing to note is the fact that MG is an old British brand which still remains however now owned by one of the biggest Chinese companies, times are changing. Imagine Jaguar or Land Rover, owned by Tata but its still not an Indian car right?
  • I don't know about MG but Kia I heard that Kia was have a bad engine on UAE the old one but I don't know about new engine

    After installation of new clutch with gas kit installed, Average has been drastically dropped from 14.5 to 9.02 in city average books, Long routes it has come down to 19.08 to 13.09 max not acceptable, Service everything was done from official jeep service station.
