Q. Which model of Thar is value for money?
  • Close your eyes and go for crde 4x4. I have been driving thar for last 3 months and its been my primary vehicle. In city or highway or off road its the best. It carries the older scorpio engine and its refined and with customization from T8 or code 6 you can achieve upto 160 hp. After owning Honda city, figo 2015, endeavor 2017 and now thar. I say it's the best if you want to enjoy raw Power and the tough vehicle just go for thar. The attention that thar grabs no other vehicle grabs.
  • Yes , As the THAR CRDe has yet again set new benchmarks with its bold muscular road presence, unmatched go anywhere capability, refined and power-packed performance that’s best in its category.
  • If you are looking forward for comfort and ease which can be used by a family than Thar CRDe variant would be a good choice moreover if you are an enthusiast and wanted to use it specifically for off-roading than DI 4WD would be a preferred choice.

Q. In Thar segment, which is best option DI or CRDE?
  • There are three variants on offer - m2DICR 2WD, m2DICR 4WD and 4WD CRDe. The only recommended variant is the most expensive one, which comes with the more powerful engine and 4WD. The m2DICR variants don’t have enough oomph under the hood and miss out on basic features like AC, door trims with armrests, windshield demister, cupholders and an accessory socket. The Thar remains one of the last of its kind – simple and tough with a capable 4x4 system. With the CRDe variant getting a more comfortable cabin and new locking differential, the Thar gets creature comforts for those looking for more than a bare bones SUV.
