Pros and Cons

  • Negatives

Toyota Etios Liva

  • A genuinely spacious 5-seat hatchback
  • the Etios Liva offers a lot of storage space - a 13-litre cooled glovebox and 251 litres of bootspace! The engine and transmission are tuned for city driving while the electrically adjustable ORVMs
  • powerful A/C
  • steering-mounted multimedia controls and good all round visibility enhance comfort. The ride is comfortable while the handling is neutral. It is backed up by Toyota dependable quality
  • service network and affordable parts.

Toyota Etios Liva

  • Looks rather bland from the side while the interior quality feels sub par. There’s not even touchscreen infotainment system on offer. Other cost-cutting measures prevent it from feeling premium. For example
  • the A/C controls are old-school
  • dial-type units with flimsy build. The front seatbelts are not height adjustable and can prove to be cumbersome for shorter drivers. Also
  • there’s no dead pedal or space to place your left foot on longer drives.

Q. Which car should I buy under 8 lakh with good built quality, good average and safety?
  • You have many options under 8lakh but if you want good built quality then forget about MARUTI cars. And you want good average to the forget about HYUNDAI petrol cars too. So you left with I20 diesel, Honda amaze (petrol and diesel),Ford figo .So acc. to me I personally suggest you to avoid diesel cars in todays time . So you can go for honda amaze petrol if you want a sedan and ford figo petrol if you want a hatch.i personally recomend you ford figo because it is more fun to drive car .
  • Maruthi - milage only rest all leave it to god,Hyundai - just like whatsapp always gets updates and feel like new and the car you bought is older version in 1year,renault - no safety rest all leave it to brand, nissan - bhul jao service ka jhatka lagega, honda - only premium cars are good in built quality small cars baath tho chodo who lene pe 2nd hand me old maruthi lesakthe,WV - best to leave laugh as comment LOL,Skoda - nahee yar ham middel class hei maintain nahee kar paayeFORD - haa figo ya freestyle le sakthe vo hi disel only maza, milage, safety, aspire ek dam hey fir bhi back side bottel holders, project head lamps nahee hei fir bhi adjust hojayega. I am talking all cars under 9 Lakhs only. yaar FORD he lena drive karetho achee legega .. family ko safety dena 6airbags doosre cars me tho chodo..
  • Go for a Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI. Excellent build quality and safety. Super fun to drive. A great infotainment system (not a touchscreen tho). Good boot space. The perfect size for Indian roads. Overall, a great car for its price. (not like Maruti Suzuki, which are toycars).

Q. What are the differences between GD and VD - Etios Liva?
  • GD is petrol and VD is diesel
  • Specifications are the same just a few features added
Q. Which one is better Etios Liva or Swift
  • Etios liva is a better option and if you want my personal opinion go for the Hyundai I20it has more features than any hatch both petrol and diesel are good and fun to drive and has lots of space and very comfortable seating
  • Liva petrol is good as an engine but not as a car, you feel like sitting in some cheap built car, better buy swift will be more than happy driving it anywhere
  • Obviously Liva is better than swift with heavy engine of 1.4

    Poor average

Namaskar, Reviewing 2021 october model petrol mid variant, 88 bhp.I am still amazed by the bold look of its front, You just park it on the side & check out yourself. Also, On roads, Every daln car gives respect and let's you pass 😊.Paint finish is top notch, Still shines like anything.I too give it a polish often but it's better than finish of our honda brio !.Build quality feels good, Doors always close smoothly. But i don't like the lightness of steel in the boot! it vibrates on closing it.Front lights even though normal halogen ones in my variant, Are almost good for night driving.Front view through the windshield is awesome and gives you a feel of whole road ahead.Rear view is good too and i specially like it's larger window pane for a clearer look of behind. Also aided by the 3 view rear view camera packed with proximity sensors at while reversing.I think honda has outdone itself as far as interior space is concerned, Roomy inside, Seats 5 comfortably.Front seats r plush n driver side gets adjustable height through a lever.Ac too is great in summers.Though no air vents are provided in the rear !ride quality - with wider tyres, Road bumps are handled nicely.Suspension is nicely tuned n it's a smooth ride typical of a honda on highways.Feels great to drive it.Have driven it to hills in nainital n lansdowne and it hasn't failed me in any corner.Though yes, Engine is less powerful for the size of the car and one needs to downshift quite often. But power delivery is smooth.Mileage- wat do i say, It's such a vast variability in city and highway conditions. One won't believe but it gave me 30 km/l whole going downhill on nainital road with engine on n 4-5th gear with occasional braking !!.Also it has given a average of 17-20on highways with ac.But in city conditions, It can even go as low as 9.8.It gulps petrol like anything in 2-3 rd gears.I have seen average dipping by 0.3-0.5 while reversing over a few metres in my parking!! boot - so roomy that one can doze off nicely there. All carpeted.Cons-1) less powerful engine n hence more downshifting.2)some vent in the boot from where twice a rat has entered and even eaten the back seat from side !3) poor average in city especially on ac4) touchscreen is not good.Gets smudgy often.Have to connect with wire to use maps.Average readability in sun.Gains-1)top notch honda quality n peace of mind.2) smooth drive, So silent at standby that we are many a occasions have tried to reignite the engine even though it hadn't shut down !.3) top mileage in highways.4) wide tyres n plush ride.5) roomy boot.6)@9.8 l it was a great choice for us, A family car.7) spacious seats n many wise cup holders.

Bought this in Jul 2017 ,

Bought this in jul 2017, Using it from more than 5 and a half years.Overall the car is great at this price point and beats almost all of it’s competitors when it was considered at that time.Touch screen ac controls, Sunroof premium dashboard etc at that price were superb. We get around 20-22 kmpl of mileage with this in our day to day use and at maximum we got 27 kmpl on highway.Overall it is a great package the only issue we found with this is its infotainment system.Only after one year it showed us touch issues and when we reported it to the service center they asked us to reset the same then also after a few days it started behaving the same.We asked them to change but they gave reasons do this do that and finally the touch stopped working and now they are saying you have to pay for it.So basically the car is good but that touch screen is worst. It will not last more than 1 year and they will not help you with that and later ask for 40-60k to replace it.Speaking on service part the staff is also good and parts are also reliable. With regular service we are at 70k km but still not a single issue or sound at any part of the car.I would rate it 4.2/5 (-0.8 only because of that costly touch screen ).

    ground clеarancе than a hatchback.

Thе Honda WR V is a subcompact crossovеr SUV that offеrs a blеnd of practicality, good design, vеrsatility and еfficiеnt pеrformance. It has a spacious and comfortablе cabin with fеaturеs likе LED hеadlamps, fog lamps, touchscrееn infotainmеnt and sunroof. It has a 1.2-litrе pеtrol еnginе that dеlivеrs a dеcеnt milеagе and smooth driving еxpеriеncе. Howеvеr, thе Honda WR-V lacks a diеsеl еnginе option and cooling issue for rear passengers. Thе Honda WR-V is a smart and rеliablе crossovеr that appеals to thе urban buyеrs who want a bit morе stylе and ground clеarancе than a hatchback.

Refined Crossover for the Modern Adventurer

A hatchback with the functionality of an SUV and the toughness of a compact crossover, the Honda WR-V. It looks athletic and adventurous due to its high ground clearance and sturdy appearance. The WR-V excels at delivering a pleasant and roomy cabin with plenty of headroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers. The vehicle drives smoothly and provides a comfortable, steady ride even on bumpy roads. It is appropriate for both city commuting and highway travel thanks to its fuel-efficient engine, which also produces respectable power. More sophisticated functions might, however, be added to the infotainment system.

    Best Car

After seven years of driving a Toyota Etios Liva and covering around 57,000 kilometers, I've had to replace both shock absorbers, the steering wheel joint, and the front wheel bearing. In contrast, my previous ownership of a Maruti Alto was more reliable when it came to these parts. I've also encountered another owner with similar complaints about the Etios Liva. Based on my personal experience, I would caution against buying a Toyota Liva and suggest considering other brands, which could potentially save you a significant amount on costly replacement parts.
