Q. Is Jazz better than WRV?
- WRV is built on the same platform as Jazz. Only changes are it gets big size tyresR16, better ground clearance and optional sun roof. I give you more points on Jazz here. The current Jazz offered in both petrol and diesel variants is very pricey compared to its rivals. The only value plus points of Jazz are well refined 1.2 L petrol engine(+), CVT(++) and cabin/ boot space(+++). The attractive feature is rear tail LED lamps. The body built of the Jazz is sturdy and seems a real metal. All other specifications and features of Jazz fall far behind the competition. Even top variants do not get: R16 tyres, Auto head lamps, Rain sensing wipers, Rear head rests, Rear AC, DRLs, LED-projector head lamps, Cooled glove box, Rear arm rest and IVRS auto dimming that are offered on Altroz, i20, Baleno, Kwid, Micra etc. The main dis-advantages of Jazz are: too many blind spots, expensive service costs (with horrible 6 month interval), touch AC- not easy to set while driving, dual horn may not be reachable to small palms (so you have to remove one hand from steering to use the horn), spare tyre is R14 steel and front arm rest which is positioned too low to use. In some areas, after sales-service is also not professional. There are some other features in the top variants which are of rear use on Indian roads like cruise control and paddle shifts (that gives a sporty feeling though). Of course Honda dedicated years on cosmetic changes like addition of DRLs, LED projectors (this year), push start, rear LED tail lamps, Digipad 2.0, capacitive touch door handles (Last year) etc. 6 x bottle holders are standard across all the variants of JAZZ (petrol and Diesel). No worries.
- WRV has a few advantages like higher ground clearance, more boot space, may be a bit more spacious. But down to the engine, its still the same power train I guess. WRV is kind of SUV ish car. not the full fledged SUV but kind of. Jazz has some advantage over the fuel economy because its lighter than WRV. But none is better than the other. Also WRV doesn't get an automatic version like the Jazz CVT.
- Depends WRV is out of jazz only.If you buy petrol then go for jazz only as wrv is extra 60kg heavier and engine is underpowered.Whereas diesel you can pick any. WRV gives you different looks and little extra ground clearance
Q. Which petrol car is great for a family of 5 between Honda Amaze and WR-V considering occasional highway trips of 1000 km every 2 months once with cabin and boot fully loaded - Jazz 2018?
- If you are planning to buy a petrol then go with amaze only and if its diesel then buy WRV/amaze.Don't buy WRV petrol as engine is small for jazz and WRV is even 60kg heavier than jazz which means more lathargic and slow on performance with full packed car.
- I am using Jazz 2015, except ground clearance, it's a great Machine. Long drives are easy, city trips are good too.
- Yes, It’s ground clearance is an issue. The condition of our roads as they are, the suspension is very low. The new jazz’s suspension is heightened a lil’ it seems!

- Honda Petrol is very refined engine. Honda Jazz is smooth and spacious. In city Jazz can give you 10 to 12 km and on Highway it can go to 15 to 17.i20 is heavier than jazz can give little less average. But i20 has more features compared to Jazz.
- Totota Etios Liva can also be an option instead of a Hyundai. I am more of a Japanese fan than Korean
- The quality of engine of Honda is really better than the rest

Jazz is having power lag especially when 4 people travel in the car.Feels second gear dead and accelarator will not respond some times.Verry low pulling while riding ghats etc.
