Q. I am confused, which car to buy, petrol or diesel? Which is good in resale, low maintenance and average also?
- Depends on your running, as the difference between both the fuel as decreased to single digit now, it means more running to recover the premium paid initially. and in case in city like Delhi, where diesel engine life is shortened to 10years it means low on resale or for good resale you have to look out of the city.Rest diesel is more fuel efficient but at the same time cost little more than petrol maintenance.
- If your run is less than 30kms per day then go for petrol otherwise diesel. In petrol honda and maruti both are good, have low maintenance and have good mileage.
- If your running 1500 km.plus go for diesel, your running less than 1500 km go for petrol, petrol cars Maintenance low compare to diesel cars
Q. Hi I am planning to buy a petrol sedan and i have shortlisted Skoda rapid and Honda city. can you suggest which one is better in terms of service cost, mileage,& comfort.
- See driving pleasure...nothing can beat VW/Skoda...but it is low on space, ineffective A/C, and wallet shattering shattering maintenance costs. Honda city on other hand is generous in space, very good a/c very affordable maintenance and it is also very powerful to drive . If driving pleasure is your only concern go for skoda, otherwise Honda city....I will advise you to go and check both the cars in person and then decide.
- Depends on the need you have as a buyer, if your prototype is only driving thrill then definitely you need a turbo petrol, forever a Naturally appeared petrol of City is more happy to revv. In terms of back seat comfort and bout space City beats Rapid all time. Interior is more upmarket in City, and also maintenance cost is very less in city too.
- I agree with you But for prospective buyers i hv some things to tell. 1 the spare wheel isnt actually a spare wheel in RAPID as it us one size smaller. 2 engine gets too hot too soon. 3 hind window glasses open half only 4 when you want to decrease speed you HAVE to apply breaks. Even when you deccelerate it keeps going at high speef
Q. Honda City CVT or manual which is good?
View More Questions
- Honda City CVT is the best choice. since its proving to give better mileage than the Manual counterpart. Also less wear and tear due to Auto Transmission is what most of the Honda City CVT owners like me have claimed... :)
- Its a matter of personal preference. I am not a fan of CVT gearboxes so I am sticking with manual. CVT will be easy to drive, especially if you are not a fan of spirited driving.
- If driven properly then manual gives best average. Auto versions of any type will consume little extra petrol. Though difference isn't much
