Q. I am about to buy a compact SUV. I preferred Venue to Ecosport earlier but now I have a mind shift and I am behind Ecosport. How about its build quality, Ride comfort, Engine performance? Which one should I go for? Thunder edition or Titanium Plus?
- I recently bought a Ford Ecosport 2020 base model a month ago out of the showroom in Kathmandu during the month of December 2020 and I am having issues with it which the Service Workshop is clueless about and very unhelpful . I also noticed that a lot of their workshop mechanics have very poor knowledge and are not pros but learners. There was only one Indian mechanic who was professional and had some inkling of what he was doing. During my first 1500 km run I started getting noises in the cabin while driving which sounded like an electrical motor revving up to its peak and then stops. No check engine light or any abornmal behavior and enigne is running perfectly ok when this happens. Now it seems it might be come issue with the PCM. Maybe PCM is defective on this new car. While trying to check out the problem on google I cam across so many bad reviews of Ford Ecosport all having so many complaints with engine and electrical issues. SO better to avoid Ford Ecosport. The warranty is there but what the use of the warrant if they can identify the porblem and fix it. Besides going to the service workshop regularly for such issues is a big hassle and you need time too even though the service is free. Remember our time is money as well.
- I am having Ford EcoSport 2017 version and I would like to say the Ford EcoSport 2018 and onward version I didn't like personally as they've changed a few things in the interior and I didn't like it for Ex. The Dash board. previously The Dashboard was more smooth than it is now now the dashboard is more upright like a 90 degree angle. and It really makes the interior look mess. And a few minor things have been change. otherwise You can Go for EcoSport one of the best compact SUV I've even come across and In a good price as well. So You can Go for it blindly I just didn't like The New dashboard look rest everything is amazing. Not to Worry. ❤️❤️
- Go for titanium plus unless u want all the fancy stuff like duo chrome and sunroof. im owning titanium plus since past 1yr and its pretty sturdy as well as robust on road. showroom experience was good and servicing experience has been good as well so far. ford is reliable. if u want to go for hyundai prefer creta over venue any day
Q. My budget is 10.5 lakh. My running is 10 to 14 KM's per day. Confused between Venue SX Turbo petrol and Ford EcoSport 1.5 petrol Titanium. Which is the best value for money model.
- First of all no need to spend that much for a very shorter distance...Ford ecoosport titanium comes in the price with all safety features and is a proven car..you can get top notch safety and performance in polo tsi at..nexon petrol too..venue too is good ...here I suggest titanium or titanium plus variant of Ford ecosport.
- Pl. try TATA NEXON at same budget .. best in class for everything. no doubt of safety and reliability for NEXON . value for money for everything in perfromance.
- Ecosport riding quality and build quality is superior to venue.. So you should go for Ecosport instead of venue.
Q. EcoSport, Venue, XUV300 and Nexon, which one to choose for long journey and tough terrain?
- Tough terrain means you need higher ground clearance . Either Ecosport or Nexon . Choice is yours . Build quality of former is undoubtedly better .
- TATA NEXON.. Best in class and reliable and the safest vehicle now.
- Nexon has axle |/shaft break down problem

Petrol 1.2 manual engine feels under power at the time of over taking in the highway.Milage is also less as compared to claimed by the company.In this model tyre size should be 16 inch instead of 15 for better ground clearance.

Build quality is good, Feels safe.Milage : 11 to 13kmpl city, 14-to 16 kmpl highway.Though we use majority for city use.Power: 1.0 engine is a turbo so power & pickup are amazing for us.Comfort: compared to other mini suvs in this segment that needs an improvement.Thought its a 2020 model not the latest one still its a good one.
