Kia has chosen the Carnival to be their secon
offering in the Subcontinent. Running with the success they’ve had with the Seltos, they are positioning the Carnival as their new flagship for India. It promises a premium cabin experience and more importantly spreads it over all three rows like no other MPV we've seen before.
The features list is as impressive as it's long. From the front there’s 10-way powered drivers seat which is also ventilated, wireless charging and even a 220V AC power socket in the rear, smart air purifier, comfort seats in the 2nd row with nappa leather upholstery all around, powered sliding doors and tailgate, two sunroofs and plenty of luggage space with the ability to fold away seats to free up even more.
The Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre, BS6 compliant diesel motor that makes 200PS and 440Nm. Its paired with a 8-speed automatic transmission and this combination is the only drivetrain available. Kia are claiming a 13.9kmpl ARAI certified efficiency.
Kia is expected to price the Carnival around the 30-lakh mark and it slotted to launch at the 2020 Auto Expo in Delhi.
