Q. Which is good to buy between Himalayan ABS or Thunderbird 500 ABS I prefer the Himalayan for its ability to accelerate much better than most enfields and I prefer the Tb 500 for its sheer driving comfort and much less vibrations than most enfields.
  • It depends for what purpose you want to have a bike. Surely Himalayan is the bike with less vibrations from Royal Enfield house. Better go with Himalayan if you like adventure riding and Off roading.
  • Tb 500 driving comfort I dont thinks so. it vibrates. alot. take a test drive if both. I would suggest u for the himalayan
  • Trust me the himalayan is much more comfortable and has far less vibrations than the Tb500There is simply no comparisons.Himalayan is a far better bike.also it is cheaper to buy and maintain

Q. Is Royal Enfield Himalayan too heavy for off roading? Can it be compared with XPulse?
  • No idea about comparison, but the Himalayan so far is the perfect for off roading. it's probably made with off roading in mind. thought it slips n skids on plain roads on sudden braking, but never on the rouugh terrain.
  • Yes Himalayan is heavier than Xpulse by 40-45 kgs. But off road skills of Himalayan are amazing.
  • It is heavy but not too heavy. Its a well balanced bike.

Q. Himalayan or Classic 350, which has the best pillion comfortable seat?
  • Both bikes have really good rider and pilloin comfort . HIMALAYAN's seat is a bit higher then classic 350 seat . Pillion can feel a little trouble while taking his position but during Ride the soft seat material helps a lot for both rider and pilloin . Classic 350 seat is quite wider than Himalayan also a little more comfortable . So in my opinion , both bikes have rea good comfort level but if I have to choose between classic and Himalayan than I'll go with classic 350 . Just a little bit of difference, not too much .
  • No doubt the Himalayan. The pillion sits higher and the pegs are not rear set. The gel seat helps too.
  • Himalayan is more than comfort between the 350

    Engine performance

Driving this 500cc bike was fun.Engine performance was great with mileage of 30kmpl.Seat was not comfortable for long rides.Maintenance of enfield bikes are high.Specially the fuel pump will stop working after 5-7 years.Replacement from re service centre also does not guarantee a long running fuel pump.Rust on body parts is a major issue in re.Overall good to ride but high on maintenance.
