Pros and Cons
- Positives
- Negatives
KTM Duke 390
- Improved performance means this is the quickest bike in its segment
- brakes feel sharp and predictable
- adjustable suspension handles bad road well even in its stock setting
- lower seat height should make it more accessible to shorter riders
- feels super light on its feet and agile when changing directions
- you can barely feel any engine heat
- even in bumper to bumper traffic and motor has become a lot smoother than before.
KTM Duke 390
- Some of the panel gaps are a little too pronounced
- H-rated Metzeler tyres feel a little squiggly when pushing the bike hard and the signature KTM orange colour option looks too garish in this model.

Recently Asked User Questions
- You cant compare to R3 bro bcoz R3 and R15 is completely Cc difference and even the performance if you want to 321cc you can go for R3 if you want 150cc you can go to R15 but now Yamaha has discontinued R3 for a while bcoz upcoming R3 BS6 Gone launch soon
- YZF R3 is a twin cylinder bike and R15 is a single cylinder bike. R3 is a way more powerful bike than R15 .R3 deliveres bike powers in more linerar and steady manner you can is it in daily commuting also and very relaxed position R15 V3. If you can spend more money you can go for R3 and also NINJA 300 u can consider this also as it as more accessories than R3 and way more cheaper.
- R15 v3 is a real sports bike ..riding position..graphics ..engine..r3 is a costly option to tell frankly it dont give a track bike feel..if you have money and dont need to lean can buy r3..
- It depends on what type of sitting posture you like , comfortable or riding stance, i noticed that if you r sitting in r3 which i like a lot. doesnt give you a big bike feel and has more relaxed position (the moment you hop on you will feel that something is wrong with its gear positioning - but its built like that to not give much pain for long rides) and in ninja iyts more of a city sport bike..riding stance is good have a bigger fuel tank which really looks good and you can grab the tank properly with your legs.exhaust note is more of a 650 cc category more bassy. Thanks
- Both r good but if you need R3 is wonderful machine which has a raw power it gives a thrill for riders if you go to nija300 it is also a good machine with very smooth engine if you hv more budget you can go for a R3 but as now in India it is discontinued for a while mite be in this year Yamaha gona launch BS6
- Both having all the qualities of an entry level sports bike with top end performance....both lack usd forks ..I will suggest ninja performance for the slipperclutch ..and service networks...
- From my experience if you are not going to track every week or once a month. R3 is the better choice. If you are a track lover and lap times are your thing than go for the Ninja 400. Both have the power for everyday and touring rides. Both looks great but Yamaha R3 is more reliable than the Ninja 400. I am riding R3 since 2016 and just got 2 recalls as for Ninja 400 has 6 recall's and the latest one is a overheating issue but Ninja 400 is a new platform so things will get better in the coming years.
- Maybe the 400 you were riding had all those issues, I've been riding since release and let me tell ya, the 400 is way better than the R3, you cant even compare the two bikes because they are so different.
- Ninja 400 has more power than R3 with more loaded features. But it also comes with a hefty price tag also. If your can add more 1 lakh or 70 thousand on Ninja 400 you can buy Ninja 650 or Ninja ER6N.But are Japenese Monsters.

Perfectly balanced bike for both everyday use and touring.Although its god a great engine for the track days i feel the suspensions are slightly towards to comfort side and also the foot pegs possiton impact the lean angle.
