Q. Between Apache RTR 160 and 160 4v which model I should select I want mileage of minimum 40+. Some people are telling that 160 4v create problems like gear stucking, exhaust heating, engine heating etc and telling that 4v will give milage 30-35 max. Please give me suitable advice.

If you want to spend more than 1 lakh go with R15,fz,pulsar 220,dont purchase apache because spare parts also 2 much cost and every year i spent 6 to 8k for repair worst bike starting 1 to 2 yrs it will be normal after that it starts repairs

The older generation, that is the TVS Apache RTR 160 delivers better fuel efficiency than the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. The reason being the number of valves in the newer one. The more the valves the more fuel is burnt,delivering better compression ratio and hence increasing the power output (better performance).

Apache RTR 160 comes equipped with 2 valve engine that is the fuel inlet is done by 2 valves which generates lesser power and torque figures. On the other hand RTR 4v comes with 4 valve engine that produces highest power and torque in 150-160 cc segment and hence mileage gets bit lowered in the 4v version

Buying RTR160 old model will not be a wise decision as there are already updated version available in the market. The new version of RTR 160 which is RTR 160 4v is better than the old one has claimed by the company. I am an owner of RTR 160 old version as per my experience except mileage issue and vibration issue this bike is an excellent machine.

If you want to experience signature Apache wild and beast engine, go for Apache 160 (engine vibrations gives a raw feel to rider).If you want a more refined engine like that of Yamaha and Honda, go for 160 4v. There is not any significant difference in mileage.

Q. What's changed in Apache BS6 and when it will be launched?

The power and torque have been reduced in the BS 6 version. The look has been facelifted and gives more premium feel to the machine. Headlight is upgraded from halogen to full LED which has better luminance. There is no carburetor variant in BS6 as Fi is kept standard. Price for dual disc variant has got up by around 8000. Exhaust has been made more crispier which resembles to KTM. The electric start mechanism has improved, you hear almost no motor noise on pressing the start button.The engine is more tuned to race and RTFi (race tuned fuel injection) has been added. Overall BS6 variant is 30-40% better

It don't have any more change in bs4 you get blackish light in speedometer and now you will get the blue light the major change in the bike is it's bs6 engine and some little amount of cut and sketch to give the more sporty look to the bike and no more.

BsVI models launched after April ,2020. Changes like carburettor get replace by fuel injector catalic converter to reduce smoke . Abs is mandatory for all bikes.I have this model already.
