Q. Which is better KTM RC 390 or KTM 390 Duke
  • There is no doubt in this tht KTM is highly reputed company but I want to share my experience, I have ktm rc390 and have done hardly 29000 km on it. You can check me service records, all services are before time.. but my bike has started leaving black smoke. It has just done 29000km and leaving black smoke. It's engine oil level decrease drastically.I have give my bike in ktm service station, total cost is above 50000 Rs. That too it l take month to get repaired. Once u have purchased this bike, there is no good support from KTM. Every one is just looting money from you. You can just imagine the quality of engine which starts burning engine oil just after 29000 km.
  • My bike is ktm rc 390 ...Why i choosed this model because first of all i think rc is looking more musculr than duke ...if we look at its specifications both rc and duke having the same except its handling and ride postureBefore rc i had r15/pulsar 220 both are more or less same on its riding posture and handlingIf we look at duke its a staright sitting naked bike And i test drived once at that time i felt its little hard to ride in traffic means to do very tricky to make a fast manoeuvre rest in highways it gives a good rodong posture with no back pain or shoulder painThen also why i choose rc my mainly because of its handling and look
  • Both are powerful performance bikes...they are made to do drift or race..drift bi Duke 390 with supetmoto mode in which you can unlock rear abs for drifting lowers..can be used for short commute not touring..Rc 390 is a proper race track beast for leaning in the track..ultimate midrange..handling...which one is better? buy according to your needs...but Duke does all what rc does and more with supetmoto mode...

Q. I wanted to buy a bike in 300 to 400 cc. Which one should I go for among RC 390, Yamaha R3, Hyosung GTR 250, Apache RR 310 and Ninja 300? Please suggest me a better bike.
  • It depends on your taste and your attitude.1.if you want a bike to take to track - rc 390 is the best choice. mind you its not at all comfortable.2. if you want a bike with brand image and one that impresses by its name itself - Ninja 300 is the best choice. its the jack of all trades, i.e., it an all rounder .3. if you want a bike that is easy on the pocket and cheaper to maintain, has good looks and is comfortable to ride.- apache rr310 is the best choice.4. finally i don't see a reason at all to buy the yamaha r3 or the hyosung gt250r. the value for money and equipment offered is not on par with the competition. PS- all of these bikes are fun to ride and accelerate really fast!!! please wear proper rider gear.ride safe.
  • It purely depends on your riding style and the purpose. If you’re someone who rides aggressively and loves attacking corner, don’t look any further rc 390 is the one. But if you like to tour, commute and attack corners once in a while the R3 and Ninja 300 are the bikes for you. I personally prefer the R3 over the ninja 300 just because of the way it looks and the punch from the engine. I’m not a huge fan of the RR 310 it’s trying a lil too hard to do everything and doesn’t really stand out at anything. So to put it short, power and handling: rc390, touring and practicality: R3
  • See being an rc owner, i would definitely recommend RC but it really depends on what criteria you are looking most, if u want something for regular commuting i won't suggest unless you won't have any complaints due to its sitting position and heating issues even other riders may other opinions regarding its heating issues, I'm ok with it cuz that's why I've bought it right. But if you want something low in power, comfort riding, occasional track rides, or long commute go for rr 310. But hey there is nothing like an RC390.#proudRC owner.

Q. I am 6 feet 2 inch, can I ride KTM RC 390. Is it suitable for me, or KTM RC 200?
  • I’m 6 feet and 1 inch, I fit on the rc 390 just fine. It’ll be slightly less uncomfortable for taller riders. But sometimes it will feel small when you’re riding it, specially after riding a bigger bike or even the R3
  • Both the chassis are identical, you can fit in both.

  • For long rides its little uncomfortable however i used to take 20 - 30min rest after 1 and half hours of riding. Moreover its a powerful bike in its segment that can take you to almost 80 - 90 km in 1 and half hour of riding. It can run in triple digits speed for long.I am getting mileage of 33 kmpl on highways. Its really very good.Pillion comfort is not up to the mark.

  • Understand your vehicle and keep it maintained. You won't regret buying the same. Except the pro and cons, stop cribbing over the bad things in you vehicle, try to accept the odds and life will be a piece of cake.
