Q. Which is better classic 350 or classic 500 in performance?
  • M having stealth black 500 and its such a special feeling to own the RE which cannot be expressed in words but when it comes to 350 or 500 it is totally on your usage as the first thing is mileage which does not differ much as i m getting around 30+ and in 350 it is around 35 but when it comes to driving for sure you feel d diff the 500 variant is much more plesant in driving. so in my opinion just go for 500 but if you are luking price wise u can choose 350 bcz in looks both are same if you are not choosing the 500 only colour variant
  • Difference will be on the inflow of the fuel . 350 is with carburetor and 500 is with fuel injection. 500 got more pickup but lack in fuel efficiency as compare to the counterpart.i' ve rode my classic 350 for almost 5 years, most of the times in the himalayan region.i found no issue regarding the capacity of the engine.on my personal level i would have picked himalayan for classic 500. decision is yours brother. thanks and keep thumping
  • Having owned the Classic 500 I can tell you that it is not worth the extra money. The performance upgrade is not noticeable. I would suggest you gofor the Classic 350 . But the one thing I noticed is the exclusivity of the Classic 500. As far as I know there are only around 10 in my city out of the 1000s of bullets and that really is something special, so if you are looking for exclusivity then go for the 500.

Q. Whats the difference between 42 and Jawa
  • When Jawa Motorcycles came to India in the 70s, the very first motorcycle to come from their stables was named the Jawa. Now, tradition repeats itself as the first motorcycle to be launched from the resurrected marque is also called the Jawa. The new Jawa doesn’t just share its name with the original, both look quite identical too. From the horn sitting below the headlamp and between the front fork covers and the chrome fuel tank, the new Jawa is a modern interpretation of the original. Like the original, the front headlamp cover covers part of the handlebars and also houses a large black-faced dial that indicates speed and fuel level. It also gets a digital inset for the odometer. Apart from being simple, it is the attention to detail on the bikes that impress us. For example, the fuel filler cap gets inscribed text while the horn gets an ornamental design as well. We love the fact that Jawa Motorcycles has managed to design this bike so close to the original. This Jawa is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-Delhi). In comparison, the Jawa Forty Two is a neo-retro take on the classic looking Jawa. It gets a conventional headlamp with black painted fork covers as well as matte and gloss paint options. The front mudguard too is a more conventional unit. While both bikes use similar underpinnings, the Forty Two has a more aggressive seating position thanks to lower mounted handlebars. It also gets rear view mirrors mounted on the bar ends for a more sporty look. The offset mounted instrument console shares the same internals as the classic Jawa’s integrated unit. The Forty Two shares the same double cradle frame, front telescopic forks and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers with the Jawa. Both get 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels shod with tube-type MRF Nylogrip tyres and a front disc-rear drum setup with a single-channel ABS as standard. It’s the same case with the 293cc liquid cooled and fuel injected single-cylinder motor as well. This engine produces 27PS of power and 28Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The company says it has paid close attention to making the motor sound like the two-stroke engines that powered Jawas from the past. To that effect, the bike gets a 2-1-2 exhaust system and a twin port exhaust outlet. Interestingly, priced at Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom), the modern-looking Jawa Forty Two is Rs 10,000 more affordable than the Jawa.
  • Jawa and jawa 42 they both have the same engine and chassis. where as the 42 model is more focused on younger generation by adding matt finishes, handlebar mirrors and a sportier off-centre instrument cluster with no other flashy chrome parts unlike the 'jawa' model. and a little cheaper than jawa .
  • Engine is Same . Appearance is different and Price of classic is 12K INR Aprox more then 42

Q. Which is better to buy Jawa ABS or 350 Classic ABS?
  • Java ABS and Royal Enfield Classic 350 are two bikes with carrying forward their heritage to the next era. Java is something new to the ground zero as being relaunched after a very long period of time. The Java leaves you impressed by its mechanicals as its appeal. Confidence from the MRF rubber and ABS enabled 280mm Bybre disc at the front allowed me to ride harder still. A sense of agility and involvement dawns on you when you steer the Jawa into corners. As far as the vibrations are considered at high RPMs there was some buzz from the bar and seat, but the overall refinement levels were acceptable. Changes to the gear selector drum and shift-forks have made the shifts precise and positive.Royal Enfield Classic 350 on the other hand, Bullet is powered by the same 346cc, single-cylinder, the air-cooled motor is mated to a 5-speed transmission, and pumps out 20PS of power at 5250rpm and 28Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm. Suspension duties are handled by 35mm telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. The ride quality is amazing as it is a cruiser to rule the highway, the vibrations come to life after the bike hits speed more than the 90 Kmph. At the 80kmph mark, the bike is butter smooth with soothing thump sound. If you are looking for a retro classic motorcycle, there is nothing that comes close to being a proper retro. That said, we wish to see more features, better refinement and reliability on offer from Royal Enfield. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride of the all the cars so that you may appraise the car on the basis of your outlook toward the drive quality, features, built quality and comfort individually.Click here for Dealership: https://www.zigwheels.com/bikes/dealers Click her for Comparision: https://www.zigwheels.com/bike-comparison/jawa-motorcycles-jawa-300-vs-royal-enfield-classic-350
  • 1. --- 24 years ago i have driven old jawa for thousands of KM . It will thrill me every time i touch the handle bar & pump it to alive the engine. The exhaust thump & interval between the next thump cant say in words. Flick & Kick is a wonderful experience . I used to get mileage around 30 kmpl to 35 kmpl. 2.--- Now to coming new jawa . I went test ride new jawa with imaginations & drove more than 210 km i got mileage of 18 kmpl. Engine is powerful till 110 km/hr then it straining to climb speed with vibrations & becomes too noisy .The exhaust sound is like hero splendor bike. There are lots welding visually seen around new jawa . They recreated visibly old jawa . Visually good bike. I didn't get moved or ringed & impressed while riding. 3.-- I owned old bullet 1996 model i used it as a bicycle go everywhere with it. 4.-- Initially when i test drove RE Classic 350 UCE i was upset with engine thump & Rhythm. But the driving experience impressed gave the same pleasure simply same as my old bullet. So i was convinced and purchased a RE Classic 350 UCE engine model and riding till date. .So that's how the new jawa didn't impress me. I never need a bike for visual pleasure.
  • It all depends on your style of sitting and riding .
