Q. I am looking for the best bike for my needs. I want one i can drive in the city. My wife rides with my on my bike and wants something to handle to bad roads and speed breakers better. Also we want to ride on long road trips and bring luggage. Don't know which is best BMW G310GS, Himalayan, or the 390 Adventurer. I like the low seat on the Himalayan that my wife could drive it. However it seems too heavy and not enough power. The BMW looks great but seems the suspension is too soft and brakes are week and the electronic package is pretty lame. I don't want anything more than 200kg bike.
  • Himalayan will be better while considering all aspects. Since bmw service costs are always above 10K. adv390 is more powerful and it requires more skills to handle it. But in case of Himalayan it is more easier and budgetary.
  • If pillion comfort is the requirement, himalyan should be out consideration... BMW g310GS and 390 Adventure have theri respective pros and cons..Do teat ride bothe and decide for yourself
  • Be sure and go for bmw 310gs it got steel braided brake lines it wouldn't disappoint you great break best in the segment so far rear one can't compare to anyone

Q. I weigh 100kgs and losing more, a thought of new bike came to my mind is to buy a comfy bike like 650 Twin but 390 Adventure isn't bad either, I ride not on a daily basis but just for fun not speeding i couldn't decide 650 Twin or 390 Adv as I eventually will use the bike on rural bad road, please solve my query which one i should opt for or wait for himalayan650...?
  • As per your requirements, you may go for KTM 390 Adventure its spacious and comfortable ergonomics, its ability to tackle all kinds of roads and cover distances with ease will win it a lot of admiration and desirability. Aside from the tall seat height it should prove to be a great companion for city use too. Those of you waiting for an off-road machine to go seeking wild adventures on will have to wait a bit longer though. But if you are looking for a thoroughly capable and affordable tourer, you can’t go wrong with KTM’s 390 Adventure. If we talk about Himalayan 650 there is no official update from the brand for its launch and we don't expect its launch anytime soon. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. • This is a lot of bike for the money! the electronics package is fantastic, The motor far exceeds expectations, And it's very comfortable.I'm getting 78 mpg at moderate speed and just a little under at sport pace.My only letdown has been the poor performance of the quick shifter, Which i hope can be fixed with software next spring.
