  • I have experience with TB 500X. Superb riding experience, centre of gravity is beautifully poised with TBX, great riding happiness on a cruiser mode. High torque at low RPMs ensures good ride quality in off roads.No experience with interceptor
Q. I am in so much dialama to opt between Thunderbird 350X and 500X. I have driven the bike and felt 500 has much more to give than 350 but my concern only started when I heard from some people regarding EFI (peolple have even changed back to carburetors) and fuel pump problems in 500. not to mention 500cc comes with costly spares than 350. Thunderbird is my dream bike so not able to select other vehicles eighter(Himalayan or Interceptor). So please 500 owners can u suggest me which to go for?
  • Thunderbird 350X and Thunderbird 500X both are good in class. Due to the Thunderbird 500x big engine, it demands more maintenance cost and spare parts compared to Thunderbird 350X. However, with the EFI engine, there is no as such issue faced but the March 20 to 30 April manufactured bike were recalled by RE due to some fault but now it is rectified.You can refer the below points to maintain the big engine bikes.Big bikes always need more care.-keep more than 5 litres petrol in the tank (5-litre reserve) to make proper pressure and flow.-time to time Cleaning of the spark plug. Q. Is the fuel injection system of Thunderbird 500X as reliable as that from Himalayan?
  • For Sure. Heavy bikes need maintenance. The tank must be always above reserve, or half full.empty tank can spoil efi
  • The fuel injection system is pretty much reliable. However, the reliability of the parts depends on the riding conditions and timely maintenance of the vehicle.
