    The Hero Honda Splendor was

The hero honda splendor was a big hit when it was released due to its fuel efficiency, Reliability, And affordability. It offered a comfortable and practical mode of transportation for many people in india, Where it was initially launched.Additionally, Its low maintenance costs and widespread availability of spare parts contributed to its popularity. The bike's success can also be attributed to effective marketing strategies and a strong brand reputation.Phenomenal milaege— 70+ kmpleasy to maintain- can be serviced(regular) under 1000 or even 500( if you do some simple maintenance yourself(changing oil, Cleaning chain replaincing bulbs)“original" parts are dirt cheap and if you consider non-oem( ie “non genuine") the market is flooded with dirt cheap pieces eg cheap non oem indicators are about rs 25 per piece)relatively to other 100cc, Cheap to buy first hand and cheaper to buy second handpacks enough grunt to carry three or four people(150-200kg) and cruise at 40-50 kmph( not impressive but not miserable either)the engine of first generation splendor was very refined with decent pick up, Beat and power.I owned a 99 model splendor.I did 95 kmph on it in highway, Had no vibrations.Thats a great performance for a 100 cc bike.It was a gem.Never gave a trouble.Very reliable, Less maintenance.Later models like splendor+ and pro was not as good as its predeccesor.Unfortunately i had to sell that bike.
