Splendor has flat lying bore where as platina has a straight standing bore which faces gravitational force while pushing the piston to upwards direction where as splendor faces no such force. I know its little too scientific but it's true.

I have been using bajaj v15 for the past 6 years.The built quality and design is really good but the bike struggles with stability once it clocks 100kmph.The mileage with time has decreased and gives around 35kmpl.Hope bajaj comes up with an upgrade in near future.
