Lykan Hypersport Abu Dhabi Police

The Dubai Police’s supercar fleet is the stuff of wet dreams for any petrolhead. It currently consists of cars like the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari F12, Ferrari FF, Lamborghini Aventador, and Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG among the others. Its neighbour, the Abu Dhabi Police doesn’t seem to be too pleased with its exotic fleet and wanted to get an upper hand over the Dubai Police Department. For this purpose it has added the Lykan Hypersport hypercar to its armada. Many car enthusiasts will identify the Lykan Hypersport from the recent Hollywood blockbuster Fast and Furious 7 where Vin Diesel is seen jumping from one building to another in a bid to escape.

Lykan Hypersport

In real world condition as part of the Abu Dhabi Police department, the Lykan Hypersport will be used for patrolling and to keep speed junkies under check. The Lykan Hypersport is developed by W Motors and the sticker price for the above car is an eye watering $3.5 million or Rs 21.7 crore without any additional taxes. For that insane amount of moolah, one gets a RUF-developed twin-turbo, flat-six 3.7-litre engine unleashing 770PS of peak power output and 1,000Nm of earth shattering torque delivered to the tarmac through a 6-speed sequential transmission. All these numbers are good enough for the Lykan Hypersport to hit 100kmph from a standstill in 2.8 seconds and tops whack of 245mph or almost 400kmph. It is the first hypercar to be produced in the Middle East and to maintain exclusivity production of the car is limited to just seven units making it among the rarest production cars in the world. It is the first car to have headlights with embedded jewels and features titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds (15carat) although the buyer has a selection of rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds, and sapphires to be integrated into the vehicle's headlights at purchase.
