Updated Audi Q5 expected in early 2013

The facelifted version of the Audi Q5 SUV is all set to be one of the first new cars to land on Indian shores in 2013

Audi’s mid-size SUV, the Q5, has been available in India for a couple of years now, and is one of the very few German luxury SUVs to be assembled in India. First launched internationally back in 2008, the Q5 is still in its first generation, but it received a mid-life face-lift earlier this year. And according to Audi, this latest iteration of the Q5 is all set to come to India in the beginning of 2013. There aren’t too many drastic changes from the current car and most of them are limited to the exteriors. The facelifted Q5 boasts a new hexagonal shape for the front grille, a new set of LED daytime running lamps and an updated front bumper which features chrome surrounds on the fog lights. There are a few changes at the back as well, which feature a revised LED cluster for the tail lamps as well as a new rear diffuser. Audi is offering tweaked powerplant options in Europe on this updated Q5 and in all likelihood, we’ll see these on offer in India as well.
