Following the launch of the Skoda Octavia in the latter half of 2013, Skoda continues its model offensive in India and looks forward to a promising year as they took the wraps off the new Yeti and the Superb.

Featuring Skoda’s new design language, the front and the rear sections of the Superb have been completely redesigned. The facelifted Superb sports clean shoulder lines and balanced proportions. The refreshed Superb also hosts the new Skoda family grille and the new logo. So the new, Superb, if one can call it that, gets new head and tail lamps. Despite the fact that the Superb is now updated on the inside as well as the outside, it does not lose the values that it has stood by since the time it was first launched in India. Space and comfort is available in plentiful both at the front as well as at the back. Under the hood, the Superb will host the same engines that we have already seen on the Octavia – the 1.8-litre TSI petrol mill and the 2.0-litre TDI diesel mill.

Other features include, LED Daytime Running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, electrically adjusted driver’s seat an electronic tyre pressure monitor system and the works. The Yeti too will get the 2.0-litre TDI engine that will produce 110PS in the five-speed front wheel drive variant and 140PS in the six-speed all-wheel drive variant.

The Skoda Superb is scheduled to be launched in the middle of first quarter while the Yeti will hit the roads in India in the second half of 2014.
