What started out as the Renault Logan and is now being sold as the Mahindra Verito – with a few design changes and an all-new ad campaign, will now be cut to size to take advantage of the under-4 metre excise concessions in place by the Indian government. Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen such a move from an auto manufacturer and if you consider the sales figures of the Indigo CS, the Verito notchback sure seems like a good idea. Expect the car to be priced a little lower than the regular Verito and with almost the same features as well. The only cut back will be in the boot space department.

I have driven the Verito d6. The ride was comfortable, pick up good but i feel that the rear seats are not comfortable for long trips. Also AC was not so effective for rear seats. Can anyone throw light on this.

Verito, old Logan, is a very good car. It is very safe. Its tough body will save you in an accident. That is the most important assurance one needs while driving, specially on a highway. It is real value for money. Wish Mahendra will advertise its qualities. More service centres are required.
