Kawasaki Ninja H2 to be launched in India next month

Kawasaki is reportedly planning to launch the much anticipated Kawasaki Ninja H2 in India on April 3, 2015. We had exclusively reported in November last year that the Ninja H2 will be the most expensive motorcycle model from Kawasaki in India with an on-road price of close to Rs 30 lakh. The H2 will act like a halo model to boost the brand appeal of the Japanese motorcycle maker in our country.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 boasts of being the only production supercharged street legal engine. The 998cc a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke in-line four motor churns out a shattering 200PS. Maximum torque is claimed at 113.5Nm at 10,500rpm, with the supercharger primarily helping to broaden the powerband for better street riding. But, if that’s not enough, then you can opt for the optional Ram Air that hikes the power output further to 210PS.

When contacted, Kawasaki India executives refrained from sharing much information and said that the April 3 event invite will be sent across shortly and maybe a new bike could be involved, without divulging the model name.

As mentioned above, the April 3rd event is mostly likely the Kawasaki Ninja H2 launch which is said to aptly take place at the Buddh International Circuit, on the outskirts of New Delhi.

Kawasaki India dealerships had started taking booking for the Ninja H2 for a sum of Rs 10 lakh, and have said to have already sold out the five odd units allocated for India.
