Touted as a game changer in the Indian market, the Renault Lodgy MPV is expected to be launched early next year in the country

Renault Lodgy MPV interior snapped

Renault is planning to launch its Lodgy MPV in India in the near future. The test mule has been spotted testing in India on several occasions, but this time around we managed to get hold of the pictures that give us a sneak peek into its interior.

The snapped interior images indicate that the India-spec Lodgy MPV borrows its interiors from the European model, which is sold with a Dacia badge. The cabin gets two-tone dashboard, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, instrument cluster with three circular dials that are finished in chrome, circular air-conditioner vents. The rear end sports three rows of seats and a centre armrest with cup holders. The interior space of the vehicle also appears to be more than other MPVs in the Indian market.

Renault Lodgy MPV exterior

Covered in heavy blue camouflage, the exterior has been cleverly hidden. The car measures 4,498mm in length and has short overhangs. One can only see the headlights, tail lamps and new alloy wheels on the forthcoming MPV due to its vinyl cover.

The Renault Lodgy MPV is expected to be equipped with the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine seen on the Renault Duster. However, whether the diesel engine will be offered in the 85PS or the 110PS guise remains to be seen. The engine will be paired with a manual transmission.

The Renault Lodgy MPV is expected to be launched in the first half of 2015 in India. Once launched, this new MPV will compete with the popular Toyota Innova, Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio in the same segment.
