With the Hyundai Eon and the new Maruti Alto 800 now on firm ground, Chevrolet is now ready to launch a face-lifted version of its best selling small hatchback, the Spark later this month. The refreshed model for 2012 would sport newer headlights, a honeycomb mesh grille, fog lamps with chrome inserts, restyled dual-tone front and rear bumpers and a bigger Chevy logo. Word is that the new car does resemble an electric version of the hatch, called the e Spark that we laid eyes on earlier this year at the 2012 Auto Expo.
Interiors would go through a bit of an overhaul as well, with improved fit and finish to better suit its years ahead. However, powering the prettier looking Spark would be the same 1.0-litre petrol and 1.0-litre LPG engines that continue to power the current model.
Coming closer to the countries festive period, the launch of the new Spark should attract quite few buyers early on considering the vehicle continues to pull in good numbers for the American car maker with the cross flag emblem. Stay tuned for updates on the new Spark closer to the launch.
