The overall rating is given only 1 star for AT model because of high price as explained below. Maruti is playing unfair games on pricing of New DZire AT! New DZire VXI AT is Rs 1,23,000 costlier than Vxi MT. Just for addition of automatic transmission, Maruti is asking huge premium of Rs 1,23,000. DZire VXI AT is even costlier than topmost Zxi model by is Rs 32,360. Please see reference Mumbai prices below, NEW DZIRE VXI : 5,58,988 NEW DZIRE VXI AT: 6,82,005 (1,23,000 Costlier than VXI MT) NEW DZIRE ZXI : 6,49,645 (32,360 Cheaper than VXI AT) If similar comparison is made on SX4 then ZXi AT is just 66,099 costlier than Zxi MT. So DZire AT"s price is disproportionally high than SX4. Please see reference Mumbai prices below, MARUTI SX4 ZXI MT (BSIV): 8,14,319 MARUTI SX4 ZXI AT (BSIV) : 8,80,418 (66,099 Costlier than ZXI MT) Is premium of Rs 1,23,000 worth for automatic transmission & still not have Zxi"s prominent features like dual airbags, climate control?
