Volkswagen Faclifted Vento Highline

Volkswagen’s facelifted Polo and Vento Highline are expected to reach Indian showrooms by the second half of September. The new Polo Highline diesel and the Vento  oil burner are priced at Rs 6.94 lakh and Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. Both models will sport black tinted headlamps and new alloy wheels. The Polo Highline will also sport a leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped gearshift knob and handbrake lever, a new music system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted controls.

The Vento Highline will now come with a navigation system and rear-view camera along with the common features. The Polo Highline diesel price has been reduced by Rs 65,000 while the Vento Highline oil burner gets a price cut of Rs 20,000. “The introduction of new features in the Polo and the Vento will further excite the customers as both the car lines will offer much more value now. The introduction of these features will pave the path for higher volumes for these car lines,” said Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen India.

Sales figures for August this year remained weak for Volkswagen as collated sales dipped from 6,091 units to 4,410. However, with festive season around the corner and the new upcoming models, the numbers are expected to rise. Besides Polo and Vento, Volkswagen also sells the Jetta, Passat, Phaeton, Touareg and the new Beetle

VW brand says it all but I'm in a dilemma of buying polo after going through the feedbacks posted in the net by it's owners. I did have a test drive.....impressed but looking at it's maintaince cost and the scary feedbacks I don't think I want to join the helpless bandwagon. But hats off to the personality of the car....I guess We Indians are fooled by it's looks and fall prey. VW should really do something to prove the feedbacks wrong to convince the potential customers.

Facelifts will not help. Volkawagen needs to be more professional in its dealing with customers. I have purchaed Vento in November of 2011. In less then a year the car had 2 major problems. First, fuel pipe leakage, They have not given me any supportive documents, instead had made baseless staement, that the damaged part was shown to me at the service station. Fact is, i never visist the service station. I have asked for detailed service report of the incidence, so that i can chase local police, if it is case of tampering. On second occasion, there was accelerator problem. Now the car is at service station for more than 45 days. They have given me a spar car after much insisting, the spare car does not have updated insurance papers and registration doc. I have been asking volkawagen since many days to email or send me the updated documents, they have not responded. I have asked for the car manual updates, if as they say, the car problem was due to driving at slow speed, Car has run only 5000 KM. The car manual must carry detailed user instruction, if the system is so fragile, as is being claimed. Volkswagen service team has stooped too low. Volkswagen must focus on basis, if it wants to succeed.

Volkswagen cars are "the best" undoubtedly among various other cars. I have the following to say especially on Volkswagen "New Jetta, Phaeton and Vento:- "Beautiful cars take care of its way". Amazingly beautiful and handsome.
