Tata Vista Quadrajet 90 launched at Rs 6.03 lakh

Tata Motors has taken the game up a notch for its Vista hatchback by launching the Vista Quadrajet 90. Armed with Fiat’s 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine that has been tuned to churn out 89PS of power, the Tata Vista Quadrajet 90 goes head to head against the Fiat Punto 90HP. The engine also does duty in the Tata Manza sedan, generating an equivalent 90PS of power under the sedan’s hood.
Like the Punto 90HP edition, the Vista Quadrajet 90 too comes in two variants – VX, and ZX trim levels. The VX comes loaded with power windows, a stereo, front and rear fog lamps, rear wash wipe and defogger, ABS and EBD while the top-of-the-line ZX variant adds dual airbags at the front and alloy wheels to the list.
Where the Vista Quadrajet 90 trumps the Punto is on the price front. While the Fiat Grande Punto Absolute Emotion 90HP and Grande Punto Absolute Sport 90HP retail at Rs. 7.45 lakh and 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) respectively, the Tata Vista Quadrajet 90 VX and ZX are priced at Rs. 6.03 lakh and Rs. 6.63 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) respectively.
The Tata Vista Quadrajet 90 can be distinguished from the regular models of the Vista by its black roof, and on the inside, the interiors are similar to that of the Manza’s with the instrument binnacle now located behind the steering wheel.
The Tata Vista is now available with a choice of four engines, two petrol and two diesel, prices range from Rs. 4.14 lakh to Rs. 6.63 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

I only buy Tata cars. I've bought six till today. That's because our Indian made cars offer value for money. If you are a snob, then do NOT buy a Tata vehicle. Remember, the days of colonialism are over. There were those pre-independence days when we slavish Indians paid fancy prices for imported goods. But the future is India. Our industry will conquer the West. If you are ignorant enough to support a dying Detroit, then buy a Ford, or a Chevrolet. I absolutely refuse to let the Occidental to continue to loot Bharath to keep him in his comfort level. Be Indian. Buy Indian. We are better than the best.

Great car.. i am owning the Vista Aura Quadrajet since 2009 and completed 51,000 Kms. So far the only repair done is change of Gear cable (costed Rs.1800 ). . Excellent car for long journeys.. Excellent front and back seat support. With Dragon performance tuning kit i already had 90 bhp of power. In this version with VGT i think performance could improve to 100 bhp easily when added with Dragon performance kit. Tata should have tweaked the suspension and steering control, i believe, which would enhance the high speed manners. I love the looks of the car. Its subjective.. Yes, the multijet engine was jointly manufactured by the efforst of GM, Fiat and Bosch, however Fiat had the major share. . . Now that Vista got 90 bhp version, it could enter into the premium hatchback's category.. :)

Its alja romeo and fiat joint venture in 1983-85 for JTD engines later misused by GM and suzuki during GM allaiance break up Fiat was struggling for funds which came out by handing over engine tech to GM-suzuki .Still fiat can bring GM and suzuki to books if they want to
