Renault Koleos Launched

With a price tag of Rs. 22.99 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi, and competition targeted at the premium SUV segment, the Koleos may become the next desirable 4x4 in the country.

Sports Utlity Vehicles or SUVs are known for its primary function of being machines capable of moving with ease in the toughest of terrains. Particularly with India, the image of an SUV is a macho looking beast. However, Renault has bend the rules with the Koleos . Priced at Rs. 22.99  Lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, for the 4x4 version.

Powered by a M9R 865 1995cc turbocharged diesel engine churning out 150 PS at 4000 rpm, a massive 320 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm, and mated to an All Mode 4x4 automatic i-system with differential lock mode as well, this is one beast meant for the wild. Add to this the features offered, you would see a different approach to SUVs in the country. A smart access card with remote start stop, a Bose entertainment system with Bluetooth and plug & music ability, cruise control and a dual zone air-conditioning that come standard in the car. The Koleos comes with a Euro NCAP 5 Star safety rating which is the highest safety rating a car can get.

With the french manufacturer's second offering within months of the first, Renault is rather agressive on growing in the country and plans to launch three more models in this year itself.

This should be a competent car. The features list is impressive namely the premium Bose Audio system, Intelligent 4 wheel Drive, Cruise Control, Automatic Transmission etc. Car is good looking too. Will lure premium customers for Renault. Great Step taken by Team Renault.

Altough it's a new company in India, Difficult to compete with Toyota. The best part of this is the a Renowned Name in F1.
