Regal Raptor cruiser bikes launched in India

The company will be known as FAB Regal Raptor motorcycles in India and will start off with three 320cc twin cylinder cruiser bikes in India, retailing at around Rs 3-3.3 lakh

Regal Raptor, a motorcycle manufacturer of Chinese origin, has quietly launched three cruiser motorcycles in India.

Joining hands with Fabulous and Beyond (FAB) Motors in India, the three cruiser motorcycles will be sold in India under the FAB Regal Raptor name.  The company has already opened its first dealership in Hyderabad, showcasing the three models – Daytona 350, Cruiser 350 and Bobber 350.

All three motorcycles share the same powerplant – a fuel injected, liquid-cooled 320cc twin cylinder four stroke engine, which makes about 23PS power at 8500rpm and 22Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The company claims a top speed of 130kmph on all three models, and all three will sport dual disc brake set up, with a 300mm front discs and 240mm rear discs.

Regal Raptor DD250E Spyder

Regal Raptor motorcycles will retail at prices ranging from Rs 2.96 lakh for the DD350E Spyder, going up to Rs 3.33 lakh for the Daytona 350; all ex-showroom Hyderabad prices. The Bobber 350 has been priced at Rs 3.22 lakh, ex-showroom.

FAB Motors, the Indian partner for Regal Raptor motorcycles, plans to set up a new manufacturing facility in Telangana as well, with investment of over Rs 1000 crore.  This facility will serve markets in all neighbouring countries, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman and Yemen.

Regal Raptor Motorcycles was founded by Horse Zhang, the owner of China-based Lifeng Group Co Ltd, and makers of motorcycle components. Regal Raptor launched the first 250cc, liquid-cooled twin cylinder engine in 1999, and by 2003, launched the first cruiser motorcycle in China. Regal Raptor also developed an 800cc engine in 2009.
