The Mahindra Bolero is no newcomer here in India, and has enjoyed great demand in India’s constantly evolving SUV space. With a much needed upgrade haunting the original model for a while now, Mahindra has now finally launched a spanking new version of the vetertan SUV here in India.

Starting at a price of Rs 6.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Bolero has received numerous and very noticable upgrades, starting with its new m2DiCR engine that comes with ARAI fuel efficiency figures of 16 kmpl.

63PS power  and 191 Nm of torque are figures were are already familiar with on the older model, and this remains largely unchanged.  However, with better levels of refinement on the new engine, the new Bolero is expected to be peppier and offer better driveability

Loads of cosmetic upgrades like new bumpers, a larger grille, more-rounded headlamps and new body decals marks a visual re-birth of Bolero. On the interior is a completely new dash experience with wood panel touches and a better packaged steering wheel and gear stick shifter. A completely digital driver console cluster on the new Bolero includes a driver information screen and a voice warning system.

Speaking at the launch of the New Bolero, Dr. Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “The Bolero has reigned as India’s highest selling SUV for the last 5 years in a row. The launch of the aspirational new Bolero further enhances its brand equity of being tough, rugged and durable. I am sure that the New Bolero will heighten its appeal not only amongst its core customers but also amongst the youth, further adding years to its life cycle".

Now available across all 200 Mahindra dealerships, the new Bolero comes will sell in three variant, namely the SLE, SLX and ZLX that will be priced at Rs 6.33, 6.81 and 6.96 lakhs respectively.
