The Mahindra Gusto is an all-new scooter and is powered by a 110cc motor. Mahindra calls the new powerplant M-TEC and it uses an all-aluminium construction. The single-cylinder, air-cooled motor in the Mahindra Gusto churns out 8PS of peak power and 8.5Nm of maximum torque. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a CVT transmission.

Being a Mahindra offering, the Gusto has been loaded with features which are segment first. The most striking feature is the height adjustable seat with two different settings (35mm difference in seat height). The seat also has a self-locking mechanism, which means the rider doesn’t have to hold it manually while filling fuel or accessing the underseat storage. The kick lever has been provided at front on the Mahindra Gusto so one can kick-start the scooter while being seated. It also has a storage slot under the instrument cluster and will be offered with a multi-function remote flip key.

The Gusto tips the scale at a rather heavy 120kg and has the longest wheelbase in the segment at 1,275mm (similar to TVS Jupiter). Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic front forks and coil type setup at rear. While braking is done by 130mm dia drum brakes at front and rear. Mahindra claims that the Gusto has a fuel efficiency of 63kmpl (ARAI figure). Also Read: Mahindra Gusto Review
