GM brings out all-new Chevrolet Captiva

More power, more luxury and a lot more attitude too, that's what the all-new Chevrolet Captiva promises. Priced at Rs. 24.59 lakh, the Captiva 2.2 AT AWD is available only in the top end variant
GM has made sure the Captiva doesn’t stay behind when it comes to safety as well. 6 Airbags - Driver and front passenger airbags, Seat side and Roof side Airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and load limiters, and height-adjustable front seatbelts come standard. The Captiva’s four-channel ABS with brake assist-equipped discs provides optimum pedal pressure when it detects an emergency braking situation. The rigid high-strength body shell of the Captiva has been optimized to distribute crash forces over defined load paths to help protect the integrity of the passenger safety cell.
The biggest change however is under the hood. The 2.0 litre unit has now been replaced with a 2.2 litre engine which pushes out a significantly more 186.5 PS @ 3800 rpm and a humongous 424 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm compared to the two litre engines 150 PS and the 320 Nm. The new Captiva 2.2 AT AWD is available only in the top end trim and is priced at Rs. 24,59,000. The base 2.0 MT and the Xtreme variants will continue to use the 2 litre engines with the prices being unchanged.
