More power, more luxury and a lot more attitude too, that's what the all-new Chevrolet Captiva promises. Priced at Rs. 24.59 lakh, the Captiva 2.2 AT AWD is available only in the top end variant

First it was the Cruze and then it was the Captiva’s turn to go under the knife. The Captiva was already a popular SUV with good looks, an adequately powerful engine and spacious well built interiors. GM have stuck to the “Why fix it if it ain’t broke formula” and made changes only where it applies. Also Read: 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Special Coverage

While the design remains largely unchanged, the most prominent changes are at the front with the all new bumper, the double decker grille and the redesigned headlights. The rear includes subtle changes to the tail-lights.

On the inside the 5 + 2 Flexi Seating arrangement can comfortably accommodate seven adults and can be transformed into a adaptable luggage carrier as well. The fold-flat seating arrangement provides up to 1,565 liters of cargo volume. Among the new comfort and convenience amenities are cruise control; third-row heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system; an electric parking brake; rain-sensing wipers; and a sunroof. Other convenience features include bottle holders, small item/coin and cup holders, a parking ticket holder, an overhead sunglasses compartment, seatback pockets and a dual-compartment sliding driver’s armrest. The Captiva also features three 12-volt power outlets that are accessible to all passengers.

Its pretty well specced too and includes an integrated 2-DIN CD/MP3 player with six speakers, Tinted automatic windows, power mirrors, an eight-way power adjustable driver seat and an electronic climate control system with particle filter as standard.
