Gary Fisher Bicycles now in India

With over 50 exclusive outlets across India, Firefox Bikes has now launched the iconic Mountain Bike brand in India.
In 1974 Gary Fisher grafted a mixture of road bike and motorcycle parts onto a 1940's Schwinn Excelsior, and created the first reliable, low-maintenance mountain bike. There has been no looking back ever since, and today Gary Fisher Bicycles is one of the world’s leading brands of performance bikes.
However, apart from the 6 year old Hercules MTB Himachal Challenge, considered the third toughest mountain biking event in the world, the mountain biking culture in India hasn’t been a very transparent one, partly because of the conducive topography restricted to the Western and Northern parts of the country.
The availability of high-performance bikes built to last in such testing conditions is also hard to find unless imported from European countries, where this form of sport finds unprecedented levels of participations and likewise great exposure by the media.
In an endeavor to bring a world-class biking experience to Indian shores leading biking company Firefox Bikes Pvt. Ltd. has now announced the launch of the Gary Fisher Collection, a line of Trek Bikes in India. The Collection will be available exclusively through Firefox Bike retailers across India.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Shiv Inder Singh, Managing Director, Firefox Bikes Pvt. Ltd, expressed, "The Gary Fisher Collection, is the product of a mountain biking icon, Gary Fisher’s vision & creativity combined with the engineering excellence & marketing brilliance of Trek USA. Targeted at youth, presently 3 new models i.e. Marlin, Wahoo and Advance are available in the Gary Fisher Collection with a starting price range of Rs. 23,880.
